Hi there! I thought it would be fun for us to share what we're growing this season. I looked through the older posts and couldn't find a thread like this, so here we are!

I have growing right now in my yard:

Pole beans
Sugar snap peas
Shell peas
Yellow crookneck squash
Hot banana peppers
Carrots
Broccoli
Brussels sprouts
Cabbage
Mixed salad greens
Zucchini
Watermelon
Canteloupe
Pears
Plums
Peaches
Apples
Strawberries
Bush cherries
Okra
Beets

Plus on the non-functional side of things, I have sunflowers, Hollyhocks, and a huge bed of mixed wildflowers.

Hi Cricket!

I'm in Raleigh, central NC. I think we're zone 7.

We started picking yellow squash a few days ago. And we have gotten one little cabbage so far. The peas are a mess of blossoms, so it won't be too much longer on them. And despite my warning, hubby picked a hot banana pepper right off the plant and took a bite.

Ha ha. Silly (young) friends of mine did this last year with my super-hot habaneros.

I am way behind this year. But here's what I have.

Front yard (cool season/perennial/started early)
tarragon
blueberries
raspberries
strawberries
oak leaf lettuce
red leaf lettuce
cabbage
broccoli
cauliflower
fava beans
peas 2 kinds
beets
celery
radishes
onion

(warm season/planted later)
zinnias
sunflowers
nasturtiums
collards
eggplant 2 kinds
bean- purple queen
bean- valentine
bean- flageolet
bean- geeze, can't remember 2 more kinds
red okra

Backyard
tomatoes (20 plants)- early girl, German Johnson, pink shipper, drawf golden, & ?
peppers (12 plants)- three varieties
peppers in pots saved from last year
raddichio

Started from seed but not planted yet (yikes)
pepper- cayene
more celery
leeks which I will just give away since we are moving
tobacco as an experiment

seeds still on the table that are supposed to go into the backyard garden #2
melons- 2 kinds
zucchini & yellow squash
4 more kinds of beans
cucumbers- 3 kinds
...

Lord, what am I doing sitting here????????? Oh. It's raining. Whew thank goodness or I'd be feeling really guilty.
