#2 Looks like joe pye
weed I pull that here,, I don't like it,, it does bloom tho,
#7 ALLIUM Keeper..!
#8 Iris Keeper!
#12 A very very Nice grouping of Hosta' You also have veriagated hosta there ( BOTH green and white/cream on the leaves) Keep them! You may have A bleeding heart bush/ or vine behind them I can't tell
Who ever planted the gardens there knew what they were doing I bet it looked really nice!,,
Since you have just moved in,, I would wait until the season is over see what blooms even into the fall. take pictures of every section, and every bloom, Some of those plants may have already gone to
seed,, IF some are flowering take good pictures of the bloom close up and of the leaves close up, if possible . They can be identified better and you can choose to keep or not,,
Some of what I saw was just over grown
weeds between and among some groupings. You really want to pull
weeds before they self
seed,,
or even more work next year. But for the most part you already have lovely established gardens there both in shade and full sun,, lucky you
IF you have any way to get in touch with the previous owners maybe they would be willing to tell you about what is there and where.
* When I first moved in my house I waited 1 full year before I began My own gardens ( except for areas where I knew there wasn't anything) Because I wanted to see what came up and what would bloom that was already up,
