What kind of speed is 54 Mpbs?

Internet connection?
My friend just go it put in .. Attic antenna looks like a chain saw.
Couple other things.

Plug in some sort of adapter in the phone jack ....

That's internet speed. It's about the same speed that I pay for, I have cable internet and we have a few wireless devices in the house so we payed more for the higher mbps to handle our high tech family. Your friend must have something other than cable internet, we don't have an antenna or anything to do with a phone jack for ours.

She has wireless adapter installed in the phone jack.

No phone used at all. It isnt a regular antenna, it has to be pointed at another antenna or tower outside. Hers aims at the neighbors antenna

Attic type antenna and couple other boxes up there plug into the electric in the attic.

Unfortunately, being able to tell from just the speed they supposedly get/pay for is a little dificult since that's basically what all "high speed" lists as...

so 'highspeed' internet is 54Mbps?

My friend is on the Whatever it is now.. I am waiting to see what her bill is at the end of the month .
She said she has a choice of free servers and chose Yahoo/

The quote $39.00 a month. I guess plus tax.

Now were wondering what little nitties they will add to the bill/

Like we have direct tv, it gets higher and higher for the same service.
