I have one beefstake plant that is producing tomatos that look like the one in the picture, and they are squishy and undersized. And I took a picture of one of the leaves that I cut off of the bottom of the plant. There's also a verry small green tomato on the top of the plant with a crack in it. The top of the plant looks better than the bottom? I hope someone has run into this problem, so they can tell me if it's a disease or deficiency.

I think it's ok to post this site.

look under spot. I think it's there.

Can you read about how to post pictures here. Yours is too big and hard to see.

That might be early blight. Bottom leaves become infected by various soil borne diseases from comtact with soil or from water splashing on them. Tomatoes benefit from mulch, is keeps soil contact to a minimum. Losing some bottom leaves doesn't always mean much, the plant may still thrive. I always have a few leaves like that. If it progresses on up the plant, you may want to pull it and dispose of it...don't compost diseased plants.

I try to take one day at a time -- but sometimes several days attack me at once.
