I was gardening all day today, and about 3ish this afternoon a large plane flew rather low just off in the distance. I'd not seen such a large plane so low in our neighborhood before. About 10 minutes later it flew closer and much lower - so low that I could see that it was shiny white with no markings whatsoever, and NO WINDOWS other than up front for the pilots.
Does anyone know what this could have been? There is a small airport about an hour north of here, but again, I've never seen a plane this low overhead! I almost called the police to find out, but I've done that before when a small seater plane was circling over my backyard a few years ago and they were not nice about it at all.

Get out of the house NOW! You are being investigated for harboring illegal aliens......UFO ALIENS. They are going to try to blame ALL the PROBES and CROP CIRCLES in history on you and your extraterrestrial accomplices!

You don't know how true that could be, Thorny! About a month ago, for 3 Friday afternoons in a row, there was a car sitting outside my house for a few hours each Friday. I finally approached it one time and asked if I could help the guy. He was very nasty, but finally told me he was a private investigator and to call the town police for any other questions.
I DID call the police and all they would keep repeating is... he is registered with the town and is LEGIT. That's it...! The guy hasn't been back in a few weeks that I am aware of...

do you live in a neighborhood and have a neighbor who is being investigated? Or has someone buried something in your back yard? Weird.

Don't know what your plane could be- we had an investigator in our neighbourhood last yr .. kept parking right in front of our house... Joe went our an asked him what he was doing- he produced his id and licence- he was a PI and told us he was watching some one down the street... we checked with the sheriff and he was legit but he left and didn't come back... We see some strange planes here too- but since we have all sorts of military bases around we kind of expect it anymore... Nana

That is weird. This is the time to start documenting everything that happens in your neighborhood.

could it have been a 'glider plant?'
Helping the world one seed at a time When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

Wow - lots to think about.
Nope - not a glider plane
Don't know about a cessna?
It didn't have any writing on it at all that I could see, and was a bit sleeker looking than the link Cindy posted.
I should have called the cops - I'm sure I couldn't have been the only one to have seen it, since it was so low?
Ok - just googled cessnas - this plane was MUCH larger than that!

It was just an idea----DH used to fly them so I thought of it right off. I would think a huge plane flying that low would have been on the news.
