Yes all is going well in my home life, Jessica. I have enough work and things to keep me occupied for a couple of years to come. I just love sharing it here and hope to be able to continue.

Glad to hear that all is well! I think I have enough to keep me occupied for a couple of years too. It seems as if there are never enough hours in the day!
Hi Tina and Jessica, I hope we do all comtinue here... sad to see some go but everyone must do what is good for themselves.. I come here to visit and relieve my everyday stress.. so I will stay and visit as I can everyday... I would be left with a big hole in my day without my being able to visit here.. Nana
did you check out a book Belinda? I got a book and a DVD. Aubry, the baby, only wants to yank the books off the shelf. She's not like the other 2 who have always liked to at least look at books. Aubry just wants to tear the pages out.
everyone seems so gloomy! what's up? did I miss a meeting? I have not seen hisgal2's name in a while. you know who else I was wondering about...tomato freak. what happened to her? we got about 10 drops of rain this afternoon. and, there is a chance for another 10 drops during the night. hey, something is better than nothing! we caught a big fat doe red handed in the garden this afternoon! she was in there around 2:30. at least now we know when they are coming through. where's the b.b. gun????

Porter, my lab, has chased every cat that has ever shown up here except Lizzy. We finally figured out why. Lizzy doesn't run. He tried to chase her at first but she didn't budge and the chase was what he was after.
Sorry I haven't been around much. We've been in a whoppingly busy time. Things will settle down again once Maxi gets off to camp on Sunday.
I don't go to Facebook often, but I have seen Jenn there. She seems ok but caught up in that whirlwind life of hers.
Gotta go... Maxi wants the computer for a bit & I promised he could have it.
Merme
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
I have seen Jenn on facebook too... so I think she is just busy.. Merme hope you are getting some rest with getting Maxi ready for camp and all... we never did the camp thing so never had to do it- I went to a couple camps as a kid- but don't remember all that went into the getting ready since I probably didn't do much of that part... so remember the bear that tried to get in the cabin... I think the 8 girls screaming scared it more than it scared us... Well I need to hit my bed... got hooked on another game and stayed up to late... first one in hit the cofee button and warm up the muffins in the basket in the microwave too- 2 minutes should do it.....nite all! Nana
Oh, muffins sound good, Nana. I will be here with my plate and napkin. And I'll bring the butter and honey. Good night all. I also got caught up in games tonight. A nice stress reliever for sure.

Another day in the triple digits,, My flowers are starting to look a bit cooked I hate to think of what August will bring with triple digits already here for June and July
I have tomorrow off work Yipeeeeee! Does anyone have plans for this July 4th weekend??
"Grace without perfection is more to be desired than perfection without grace."
Merme, if you talk with Jen on Facebook ask her how her renovation is going.
Diane, a small community not far from me always has a 4th of July parade and festival. The grans and I go. There is music and rides. Only thing the parade isn't until 1:00 and last year it was so hot by that time we thought we'd die. We talked about it yesterday and are going again but this year we're going very early, ride all the rides and then make decision about staying until 1:00. Colby, my grandson, loves seeing all the tractors and horses. Would be nice if the parade started at 10:00 instead.
I've been doing like you Diane and watering every day but the heat is getting to the petunias anyway.
I slept in a bit this morning. It felt good. But it means I may be having to work in the heat of the day a little more than I'd like. That is OK. I'll take it easy.

Morning, We had a cooling rain storm last night... was really nice.... much cooler expected today so greatful for that today.. Joe got up and went to work... think he is crazy he is hurting a lot...why are men so stubborn,,,,hope and praying he makes it okay.. or has the sense to come home.. I get the boys later today... so have to get my ironing done soon... so better get my behind in gear... Mom just got up so gotta get her fed and meds... and a shower if I can talk her into that too... Nana
We were 58 degrees yesterday and in our 4th consecutive week of rain. I heard we are already 5 inches above the typical rainfall for the season. The rivers are huge; the ground swollen.
Yes, Sheri, I will ask Jenn about her renovation the next time I go to Facebook. I usually only use Facebook as a means of keeping an eye on the younger set in my life, but I will occasionally log in for a specific reason.
We stopped for KFC on the way home today. I haven't had KFC since Christmas. I don't know what the manager has done... cleaned out the fry-o-later, hired a new cooking crew or what, but it is the BEST KFC I've had in about 5 years! Absolutely delicious!!

"Cleaned out the fry-o-later" that's so funny Merme.
Were your starving? I rarely eat at McDonald's but a while back Johnny and I went through the drive through and that was the best burger ever. Johnny was laughing at me because I was enjoying every bite and saying how good it tasted. He thinks I must have been starving.
We could use a little rain. I thinks it's been 3 weeks since we've had a drop.
It has rained here EVERY day except last Sunday, since the beginning of June. We were also very over the normal rainfall for the month of June. I don't mind too much because I haven't had to water too much, but the humidity is starting to get to me since the water doesn't have a chance to dry up before it rains again! LIKE NOW!
Lynne, that happened here a while back but now it's dry as a bone. Our water table is above drought but if we don't get rain soon I suppose it will go back down. Plus it's been so horribly hot.
I was looking at your pond pictures last night. Did you ever see the other frog?
So sorry it's so dry there for you Sheri. How about if I send you some of our rain so we can both meet in the middle?
I haven't seen any of the other frogs but there are at least 6 of them shouting every night! At first I thought it was cute... now it's getting on my last nerve! It is mating season, so I wouldn't be surprised to one day find a bunch of eggs floating on the pond surface. I know what to look for now, so if I do find any I'll take a picture.
Rain would be nice here too. But not too likely in our forecast. I went to work this morning, home, ate lunch and napped. I am looking at the searing heat outside and the trees that need trimming. Maybe I might get a start on that this weekend.

I do believe if I had a deer problem I would invest in one of those impact sprinklers set with a motion detector. It alway slooks like the best bet to me.
