Diane had told me about 3 1/2 hours ago that Jimmy was not feeling well at all today. He tried to go to work but was too sick, and went to his dr's office, but it was closed today. He took himself to the hospital and they took him right in.
Diane texted me from work at 4:15p.m. my time - about 45 minutes ago and said that she "talked to Jolene, Jimmy's grandaughter. He is in bad shape. Prayers are needed - please post for me because I'm at work. Jolene is very worried and crying."
Please everyone, keep Jimmy in your thoughts and prayers and help him pull through this!

Just spoke with Diane again - she had gone to the hospital right away when Jolene called her, and is now back home with her out of town company.
She wanted me to let you all know that a couple of weeks ago Jimmy had said that he had an enlarged aorta. Today they found that he has an aortic aneurysm. They need to stabilize him on his meds, etc, before going any further.
Diane will keep us updated as she hears anything, and gets a chance to, with her company there.
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
Thanks Lynne for the update---I will be praying extra extra hard for Jimmy. I am glad however that they now have a diagnosis. Hopefully he will soon be strong enough for surgery.

Thanks Jiffy - I had wondered if I should have made this a new thread, but figured I would continue to post where Diane had before. A separate thread is a good idea.
Sorry folks didn't mean to upset things. Thanks Lynne for posting for Diane. Jolene just brought me home a little bit ago. About 2 weeks ago I started getting dizzy spells for no reason and mainly when I stood up then got what amounts to a stomach virus last week. Decided today to go back to work well I got real dizzy and told the boss I was going to my Dr. I wound up at the ER @ Las Colinas medical center. They gave me IV'S and a lot of CT scans of my head and body. Test came back I have been having "Orthostatic Hypotension (copied this off my Hospital papers.) Sheri can splain it I can't. Which as they tell me make my Blood pressure drop when I stand up. Also they found out not only do I have an enlarged Aorta as my Urologists told me but I have a Aortic Thoracic Aneurysm which if it ruptured I will die on the spot. They are in the process of getting me to a Thoracic surgeon until then I am not allowed to do ANYTHING let alone drive. Joyce my daughter (Jolene's mother) and Jolene are wanting me to move out to Springtown with them. Their Husband's are going to fix up a mobile home for me so I can fool around out there and not work anymore. Sure a long ways from my friends especially Diane as I'm kinda use to talking to her every day and meeting her every once in a while for lunch. But they are telling me they will try and get her to come out as often as she can. Just not ready to give up and stop going yet. The family and I are all cussing and discussing the ins and outs. Thank you all for you thoughts and prayers I sure wouldn't be here now without them. And a very special thanks to Diane she truly is and Angel.

Jimmy!!!! so very good to hear from you !!! I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis but I am so glad that they found this--and are going to take care of it.. Sounds like your Daughter & granddaughter are taking good care of you and of things. it might be nice to be close to family--and to retire--you could spend a lot of time fussing with gardens.

Jimmy you are kind of a lucky guy right now even if it doesn't feel like it. Most of the time people find out they have an aortic aneurysm after it bursts and they die. Prayers my friend.

I am so VERY glad to see you posting tonight Jimmy! Aneurysms are scary things and not to be messed with. I hope they can get you in with a thoracic surgeon very very soon. Until then, please take it very easy on yourself, and let your family pamper you a bit. Your critters, and we here all, need you to be healthy and strong!
jimmy my uncle just had one of those that broke open. not a complete bust, but a small hole. he made it through and is still with us. now, that said, i have faith that they'll get you squared away so you aren't put in an emergency type situation.
as far as cussing and discussing with the family, Lord help you on that one. i have not wisdom there.

Dodge I got tired of bed and not doing anything. So I tried to see what was going on in wide world of Internet when I saw this thread I really thought I should post something not hard sitting down just standing and walking with a light head. Mainly wanted to thank everyone and let you all know I am still around. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts they mean the world to me. Today I go to my Dr. she is going to sit up the surgeon and schedule the surgery . She is not happy the hospital turned me lose when she wanted me in the hospital.

So good to see you posting again, Jimmy, but please do take it easy on yourself!
How are you getting to the dr.? Is Jolene able to take you? I don't blame the dr. for being upset about you being released from the hospital - you really need to be very careful with that condition. I hope you are able to have the surgery soon, and put all this behind you so you can get back to the business of taking care of all your critters.

Thanks Lynne I am taking myself in my ford pickup I will be OK everyone has already missed too much work on my account. Had to get feed yesterday loaded and unloaded it myself. Can't stop living just because of this crapola. I will take it as easy as I can just some things I have to do for myself most of my plants have died because I wasn't able to water them. This house is boring and TV is less then attractive I am sicker of lying around then I am of being ill.

but we will all be sicker still if something happens to you. please be careful
yep, Jimmy--Jiffy is right---please take REAL care.
While I KNOW how boring just sitting or laying around can be, sometimes it is best to do just that. It insures that later on you will be around and well enough to do all the stuff that you want to.
Still praying, Jimmy!!!!!
