Most of you remember my YOYo a baby Quaker. About a month ago I was fixing breakfast with him on my shoulder. I didn't know Allie and opened the door because I didn't close it good. First thing I knew felt something hit me in my upper back and YOYO scream Allie and jumped up and my back and got my YOYO and killed him. ![[Linked Image]](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/greywolf1842/BIRDS/YOYOdrivng.jpg) Well one of my Granddaughters and her daughter came by later that day. On Tuesday they came back wit ![[Linked Image]](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/greywolf1842/BIRDS/HoldingupJoJowithfullbelly.jpg) h a box in their hand and my 5 year old Great grand daughter said here GPA now you can stop crying. Jolene had found a breeder somewhere and bought me this baby Green Quaker that was 10 weeks old. When I told Diane about it we sit out to name it she finally came up with JOJO since Jolene and her daughter Jolie had got him for me. JOJO 10 weeks old when I first got him. ![[Linked Image]](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/greywolf1842/BIRDS/JOJOonbed.jpg) continued below

So sorry about YoYo! But I'm glad you have a new feather friend to love! Thanks Lynne this is a registered breeder Jolene said she always sells young birds in pin feathers. I got him knowing what NUM NUM means he also know where the Exat formula mix is and looks in the bowel while I fill the syringe I use to feed him. Of course I would never spoil and critter I have as you well know. Sure very careful now no more accidents like that. Allie stay out most of the time now unless the birds are locked up in their cages.

His feathers are so pretty!,, Does he eat seeds ?? Not yet just going from 3 feedings a day to 2 of the formula and he is not happy about it. After 3 more weeks of twice a day feeding will start weaning him onto Cockatiel seed. Rebbeca a friend of mine that raise birds is telling me what to do and how. She works at the PetSmart in Lincoln Square.

I bet you didn't think you'd be bringing up baby did you I know he brings you joy everyday as all your critters do! Yes at my age I would have never thought I would be raising a new baby. And yes he brings me a lot of joy. Gave him another bath a few minutes ago Bratbird let me know that was wrong Of course he hates baths so I spray him with this bird bath spray which helps combat mites and dry skin but does not make him happy.

Jimmy, I loved seeing all these pictures of JoJo .....and of brat bird who liked to sit on my head! I got to hold JoJO in my hand like the pictures show Jimmy doing!!! He is so tiny and so light weight!! It feels like holding bits of tiny bones incase in a little bit of skin and feathers .....which of course it is.....but, it felt so teeny-tiny!!!

I am learning to keep a camera Handy as this after noon he squawked I went over and he had climbed up a ladder I had in his cage and was watching me through the bars. here is the one of him on my neck and shoulder. ![[Linked Image]](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/greywolf1842/BIRDS/JOJOcrawlesuponmyneck.jpg)

Thanks all for your comments on JOJO. Diane his feathers are so deep and vibrant he is as pretty as i have seen. Lynne they did the test he is a male and very much acts like a male. Thank you Cindy he has already learned to boss me has me twisted around his little feet. He is very vocal but when I tell him to be quit he does. Already tries to talk and plays with his toys in his cage. He is trying so hard to please me and says what I take as love you when he snuggles under my chin he has this sweet cuddle sound he makes. Tells me night night and says what I take as hi or hello when I get up and uncover him. At traders village a couple of months back this person had a bunch of Macaws and a little African Grey wish I had the money to buy it she seemed lost and afraid of the owner but would come up to see the people that was looking at it. Broke my heart. these people should not be allowed to own and sell these animals like that. I have reported them to SPCA which always say they can' (more like wont) do anything. So I will not support the SPCA instead I try to help the rescue groups.

Tonight I was feeding the Sugargliders and heard JOJO talking up a storm and making a lot of noise. I went to his cage and he had his beak on a perch using his feet to climb the side of the cage and his wing to help pull himself onto the perch. this was his first time to climb onto a perch I have sit him on one a lot. When I got my camera here is what I found a tired but very happy JOJO. ![[Linked Image]](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/greywolf1842/BIRDS/JOJOonfirstperch.jpg)

Thanks stevie_g: JOJO took his first flight today about 8 inch's from my shoulder to his cage top almost bumped his nose then looked at me as if I did it to him. . He got to eat out of my plate for the first time just a bite of egg and a piece of Tortilla . He sure thinks he is a big parrot now. Put a little snuggle hut in hie cage he loves it doesn't want to come out anf gets upset if I get him out. Loves the very top perch in his cage.

So you aren't havint to feed JoJo with the syringe any more? I'm so glad to see how the little sweetie is progressing. Shirley I am still hand feeding him. His little beak isn't strong enough yet for seed although I have canary seed in his bowel as the hulls are softer then Parrot or Cockatiel seeds. Today he gets to try biscuits for the first time when I fix bicuits and gravy for me and the dogs , birds get biscuits only.

Thanks cricket and chermoni. When i offered him a piece of biscuit he ate it then came over to my plate and started eating Biscuits and gravy from my plate. Even wanted me to feed him with my fork.Tonight I was eating some mac n cheeze he got on my plate and tried to pick up my fork so once again I fed him with a fork. He refused his formula this morning but ate some just a little while ago. Everyone I talk to and every thing I read says he will stop the formula on his on and don't force him to eat it. My baby is growing into a big Quaker boy.

[/quote] has JoJo done anything new this week?? [/quote] Yes Diane thought you would never ask. Saturday he got his first hair cut (wings clipped) Took him to Petsmart and Rebbecca clipped his wings so he can't fly. She fell in love with him and took him all over the store showing him off. He sure acts like a big cheese after that. He ate his first Lasagna off my plate and yes I had to feed him with my fork. Yesterday morning I offered him Biscuit piece he walked over and got a piece out of my plate with gravy on it. Then wanted me to feed him with my fork again. I don't know who keeps spoiling my critters can't be me.
