Hi guys great forum, after reading it a few time I've decided to join.

I also have a question, abotu two weeks ago I bought a succulent. The florist watered it for me when I bought it, I watered it once (I poured a good amount in there but not much more than say half a juice box full.

Not the leaves are wilting this is the beginngin of the third week and about 4 "leaves" have dropped off!

Is it thirsty or drowning? Help!

thansk a lot I've attached a picture with one of the dropped off "leaves".

Hi Canadiana,, Welcome to the Garden Helper wavy ,,
FIrst let me say sometimes plants go thru a shock in transport and then getting used to their new environment.Leave drop May be a result of that.

My rule of thumb is to not water a succulent but once a month if that as they store water in their leaves.
If you watered it pretty good only two weeks after the nursery did,, it probably has too much water. IF you have a drip pan under your plant with water in it,, remove/empty it and let the plant dry out, I have a succulent just like yours and I water every 4-6 weeks with very little water,, maybe 1/2 cup. I hope this info helped.

Hi and welcome Canadiana!

Everything Diane said is correct, but I just wanted to add that it looks like your pot doesn't have an drain holes in the bottom? If so, then you really need to be careful about water. I have many succulents in pots without bottom holes and as Diane said, I water them very infrequently. Root rot is the biggest problem for succulents and cacti.
