This is my first year growing grape tomatoes. I usually grow cherry tomatoes, and the last 2 years grew some round yellow baseball sized tomatoes that the deer enjoyed before we had a chance to taste any.

I picked 5 yesterday and these are the next in line to ripen.


Anyone else grow these? Does it always take them so long to ripen?

I don't grow them but those sure look healthy! Good For you!

They sure look good....what do they taste like. Anything like their name sake??

I do grow them and this is the first year it's taken forever for mine to ripen. I don't know what's going on with the universe. It's taking everything a long, long time to get ripe.

My grape tomato plants are much heartier than the other tomato plants.

Rosepetal - they are called that because of their shape I believe - not because of the taste. The few we had could have been a bit more ripe, so I'll let you know when I get some nice really red ones.

These in my opinion are the easiest to grow and I have some growing right now. I water mine everyday and they seem to turn red rather quickly for me.
