Jimmy's canna tubers were started indoors once again this past March, and planted out by the pond about a month ago. Just look at these babies go! I can't wait to see their beautiful flowers again this year! Thanks once again, Jimmy!!!
Lynne I am glad to see the Cannas are doing so well. Mine are only about 4 1/2 to 5 feet tall. My lawn mower guy mowed them down last month after I took him around and said don't cut this or get near that. He mowed down all my Cannas and one of the brugs Diane gave me last year but left weeds and tall grass where it should have been weeded. I am still not allowed to do anything but looks like I am going to have to just have to do it a little at a time. Yours sure are pretty thanks for updating this thread.

Thanks everyone! I just get so excited when they grow for me each year, since I have to store them inside in a box through the winter.
Jimmy - mine are only about 3 feet tall so far, but we are behind you in the season, and this month has been very cool and rainy. I'm sure they will love it when the sun warms it up a bit around here!
So sorry your lawn guy did that to your plants - I would have been livid!

Livid is not the word much past that. This weekend I will mow and weed eat my own yard instead of depend on someone else to do it also cheaper if I do it myself.

Diane - I was talking about the second picture in my post here - on my monitor it's still huge and running off the page.
I went back an looked at all of them,, Nothing is running off the page,,
I have so many canna's coming from under the fence of my neighbors I'm going to have to dig many of them up before they ruin the fencing,,,. I wish I could mail them all out to people there must be 20 of them or more

I just cannot get enough of this plant! The flower stalks are now about 8 feet tall - too tall for me to get a good picture, but these leaves were so nice and big and green that I wanted to share them. Most of the Japanese beetles have moved on, so I know have some nice whole leaves finally!
I hope Jimmy is well enough to see his wonderful gift to me!
