I need help I have no idea what could be wrong with my tree it has benn in the ground about 5 yrs, I have another one about 30 ft. away, both were planted at
the same time, but one is seeming to suffer the past 2 weeks, yellowing/browning,
falling leafs, also wilty, it is gettingthe same amount of water as the other one. help??? tears

Look for insect damage. On the leaves and on or in the bark. If you can dig near the roots, try a little of that looking for damage to the roots or holes or rotting.
You can try your local county extension office to see if they have any idea.
I found this searching bradford pear diseases:
Bradford pears will develop blackening of leaves from root stress problems (drought, too much water, root injury, etc). This is their form of leaf scorch. Fire blight is also a disease that affects Bradford pear. A sample would help determine the problem.

hi Tina ! thanks for the welcome,I will go out and examine the tree further tonite, and see if any of your suggestions are present. At least I have a starting point!!! Thank you....

I dug down about 5 inches around the base of the tree and, noticed that the bark thatisabouve the ground is damaged about 3inches above the dirt, and the dirt is full of earwigs!!! What do you suggest that i treat the tree with??

This where you go to see your local extension office or contact them by email or phone. I honestly don't know a cure for what you may have. Could the bark damage have been someone using a weedeater near your tree possibly? Those have caused so much tree health issues. Or it could be some kind of borer and need a dormant oil treatment or something. I just cannot help you with that.

no weedeater the tree is in a flower bed no grass. I will have to e-mail the extention office, i justhope someone can help,Thanks
