This one just bloomed today. The bud and stem looked like they are covered in little spiky hairs if that helps to identify it. ![[Linked Image]](https://lh3.ggpht.com/_bFfmqZhYers/SmzpW1hbgvI/AAAAAAAAAQY/13BYR__I0Cs/s400/DSCN0675.JPG) And here's these guys. I have a bunch of them scattered about and they close up at night. ![[Linked Image]](https://lh3.ggpht.com/_bFfmqZhYers/SmzqB5U76VI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/DiztsAYgyO8/s400/DSCN0676.JPG) Thanks for any help!

First one looks like a poppy.
Don't know the second one.

Thanks Tina, I just looked up scarlet sage and that looks nothing like the little flowers I have. All I know for sure is that whatever they are they came out of a hummingbird/butterfly seed box.

The first one is definitely a poppy. I don't think the second one is salvia...i've seen it somewhere before but can't name it off the top of my head

could the second one be some sort of Adonis? can you get a shot of the leaves? those don't look like Adonis leaves under the flower.

You are right, not scarlet sage. I'm still thinking scarlet something. It may come to me in the middle of the night. I have also had those in a mix bird garden packet. Scarlet flax

It popped in my mind and I googled to make sure I hadn't screwed it up again after.
