I planted the most beautiful lilies. Their blooms were gorgeous. A few days later, the blooms all fell off. Its been about three weeks and no new blooms have appeared. Do they bloom more than once a season or am I just being impatient?

There are two plants called tiger lilies. A real lily called lilium tigridum have downward facing flowers usually on tall stalks. The flowers are orange with black speckles and curled back petals. Those only bloom once a year in summer usually.
There is also a tiger daylily, ditch lily. These also bloom orange and tend to produce all summer long.
Wouldn't it be lovely to have lilies that bloomed all year long?

There are a bunch of things that go by the name "tiger lily". I bet you're referring to what I'd call a day lily. "Day" lilies are so called b/c the flowers last a day! There are varieties of day lilies that have been bred to last longer. So if this is what you're talking about, no, you're not going to have more later.

The trick to having week's & week's worth of flowers is to let the plants multiply-- grow them in big masses. Then you'll have flowers for several weeks. In this way, individual plants will bloom over a longer time frame. Well worth the space, in m opinion-- they are such lovely plants!

So odd-- usually when I post & some one posts before me (while I'm typing) I'm alerted or I see it or something.
