I found a recipe for an orange aphid spray.. It is the basic boil the water add grated orange (or lemon) zest let it sit overnight and spray... Is it safe to use on tomatoes? My little cherry tomatoes have them and little (tiny black ones too) Is there anything that it shouldn't be sprayed on? THanks so much for the info..

Yeah, the little (tiny) black ones are on the stems, but the tiny white ones are eating the fruit.. I jsut really don't really want to use any chemicals..

Eva have you tried washing them off with the hose. I'm having aphid problems too this year, even bought a large batch of ladybugs online to help me out in my greenhouse. So far they're leaving my tomatoes alone, but am I speaking too fast, who knows what I'll see tomorrow.

I will try that.. doyou put your thumb over to add pressure and knock them off, or is it the water it'self?

Use pressure if the plants can handle it.
