Thornius, I haven't seen the cardinal sitting on her nest for 2 days. I've seen who I think is the cardinal but just not on her nest. There is 1 egg in it and may have been the only egg from the beginning. What do you think has happened?

I'm not sure. Last year I had a Cardinal nest with THREE eggs in it by my front porch that was abandoned. The parents made another nest somewhere else and showed up later in the Summer with young at my feeders.

The parents made another nest somewhere else and showed up later in the Summer with young at my feeders. I have a hummingbird feeder right beside where the nest is. I haven't filled it lately because of the nest but this morning, since the mom hasn't been sitting on it, I went to get it down. I assume this is dad because he went nuts and who I am guessing is mom was out there too but I didn't get her picture. I came back inside so they would calm down and not attract Lizzy but when I looked out the window later mom is STILL not on the nest.

That is cool Diane,
Wonder if your speed setting would of caught it better . I put my camera on speed when we ride motorcycle.. I click while we move.. Works great for me. Have to show you some of the speed settings work. On another subject.

WOW - all these pictures are terrific!
I LOVE the blue around the dove's eye - I've never noticed that! Wonder if the ones we get around here have that too?
All of you are getting so good at capturing birds in different poses - I love seeing what you each post next!
Diane - The hummingbird with the robin is very nice! As are the birds in flight.
Sheri - great shot of one of my favorite birds!
Dodge - your picture is so very pretty - I love the vine, and the little hummer at the bottom makes the picture very special!

No that is actually my son. He went to take down the feeder before we left and they started coming to the feeder while it was in his hand as to say, "please don't leave!"
