I want to purchase a particular campanula and don't know where to search. I have gotten a wrong variety enough times that I am gun shy. Can any of you make a recommendation?

I goggle everything first, get the correct name, then start calling around or looking online at nurseries. If you post the name maybe we can help.

I found the most beautiful bell(campanula) flower at a nursery on my lunch break the other day. It was cream with purple edges,, I hope to go back today and purchase if they still have it. I would recommend you call around to your local nursery's and ask them if they have in stock the particular one you want.

I want Campanula Lactiflora 'Prichard's Variety' and also Campanula Persicifolia 'Telham Beauty'. I wanted to buy on the net because I have so often gotten mismarked specimens. A friend suggested Wayside Gardens but there are about 50% negative reviews on them. I have 1997 catalogues from Bluestone and also White. The plants are in there but I wondered if any of you had good success with any net companies. Any suggestions?

I just sent an order to Bluestone. We'll see what happens.

I also have a first order in with Bluestone for some plants. They are to be here in late Sept. I will tell of their arrival and condition. Bluestone has good ratings elsewhere on the net.
But I must say as far as ratings go, you often get what you pay for. I have mail ordered wanted plants long before I had internet. From places often with current poor ratings on the net. I have rarely been disappointed. And have gotten my money refunded or credited when there were failures. I feel it is an adventure and I am up for a mild adventure or two. I ordered the c.persicifolia 'Telham Beauty' a few years ago and still have one lonely plant hanging on. I don't remember what company I ordered it from. I was looking for the bluer of the strain but ended up more purple than I wanted. It is still pretty.
