I haven't been able to contact Dave. I had a message from him and haven't heard anthing in return since I answered. I just pray he is ok and is just busy but concerned.

Cherokee Purple is a great tomato as long as you get the right one. There some seed being sold that isn't right. Many think Indian Stripe is a good. Personally for me it hasn't been. Jay

I got an email from Dave last night. He's doing well. I'll tell him he's needed.

Gee, I saw Angelblossom's post and was kinda embarassed, I haven't grown CP in a container myself, and the one plant I grew this year has been devastated by an unknown bug...I did get to eat a couple, after cutting out the bad spots. Last year, I had 2 plants, and they produced about one a day between the 2 for about 2 months, all delicious, and very few lost to critters. So I felt a little unworthy to respond, but I am so happy to hear that yours are doing so good, angel. I'm not even the best container gardenerr, but plenty of people, whether newbies or vastly experienced, have great success...containers are easy to manage and have almost no weed or even pest problems.
Since I confessed, angelblossom, could I talk you into sharing what you did to have such great success? (I still have a lot to learn, heehee.)
Sorry I've been AWOL, folks, I kinda hid under a rock lately, but I'm feeling more sociable just now...it kinda hurts my back to type much lately, though, I'll have more to say soon. Thanks for your concern, you're very caring friends.

It's Okay Dave! I had pm'd you about putting them in a pot because I didn't have room in the yard for my tomato plants to get full sun,, you suggested potting them so I could move them when I needed to get at least 6 hours of sun, I'm glad I did it worked!
