Hmm...I'll take a guess even though the answers are posted...I'll check those out later:

1. Are eggplants a vegetable or fruit?

fruit (i think because they're the result of fertilization and can be used to produce offspring)

2. Cucumbers are made up of over ___% water

a lot :P if humans are over 70%, then probably 85-90%?

3. What are the two main categories that peaches fall into?

sweet and sour?

4. What is the difference between a scallion and a green onion?

not sure botanically, but there is a difference when it comes to cooking each

5. Tomatoes are the ____ (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th) most popular vegetable in the U.S? They are classified as a vegetable in the U.S. for trade purposes.

1st? everyone i talk to grows them ;) if i remember correctly, vegetables were staples and the government didn't tax them. but fruits were not staples and had to be taxed.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
