Last Friday Tristen and I went to the Mall of America. Our plan was to go to a large amusement park but the weather didn't go in our favor. So, we headed to the mall. Tristen and I went on rides, ate lunch, played at Lego Land and Tristen make a bear at the Build a Bear Workshop. It was a good day.
Thanks Lynne! We have fun doing these kinds of things. I wish finances would allow us to do these things more often. We do it as much as we can though.
Just thought maybe she couldn't get over that big chicken or something. I know that all of you wish you could have been there to see that chicken. It was really something!
Tristan has grown a lot since you last shared him. He is a cutie. I am glad you had such a great day with him. All kids need that time (even when the weather doesn't cooperate). and Mom's need that time too.

I remember when they built that mall and it was all over the news. I've always wanted to visit. And I just may someday. But I am not jealous at all of your winters. Nope, not me! California builds malls to keep people shopping in the a/c. Minn for the really cold winters. I choose California.

You can come visit us anytime, Tina...that way you can spend time with my young son and visit the Mall of America. The Mall is a place that I recommend everybody see if they are in the area but it is too big to shop at. We go there for the park and underwater world and those kinds of things. I like to shop but not there.
Yes, I find most malls a little expensive. I usually don't go to shop but to walk and people watch and things. Even the outlet malls here are pricier than I like. I guess I'm a cheapskate. (I call it thrifty)

My Cousin in Ks had traveled to the Mall of American twice stayed for 3 days each time in the area,, and still claims she hasn't seen the entire Mall She also says all of the 3 days she was in MN was not always at the Mall, she loves that area of the U.S. and goes in mid spring when she does go.

I am not tired of it. It is just not as exciting as some might think. Loz has told me that she would go there every week if she lived this close. I have no desire to go there every week. It is fun once in a while but it is just too big to do a lot of shopping there...expensive too.
I don't think I've seen any pictures of Tristan in a while, he is so grown up! The Mall of America can be fun, when I was there in November we somehow managed to walk the entire mall in one day. It took us all day but we saw it all. We didn't go on any rides, no kids with us, but I did take a picture of myself in Forrest Gump's shoes at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Did you do the log ride? I did that one years ago and it was hilarious the way they take your picture on the way down.
