Hello,
I live in southern Minnesota and some of my house plants desperately need repotting. I know that it is best to do this is in the spring, but I was too busy then and am only now finding time.
Hopefully September should be our one last month of indian summer warmth.

Could anyone tell me if I run a great risk of killing my houseplants if i repot them now?

many thanks,
rosiejane

I am searching the forum and I'm thinking that most houseplants can be re-potted almost any time of year. I know some that go winter dormant that it is probably best to repot during dormancy or before they wake up and start growing again in spring. So it may depend on each actual plant species. But most will do well with re-potting now. If you are not changing much about their environment but the pot size and soil.

Thanks Tina.

Once it gets cold here and the heat comes on, the air and humidity is very different. I live in an old house with forced heat, so it gets really dry and intermittently cool and then hot. (unfortunately.)
I have a few succulents and cacti as well, but i thought i'd ask generally since i have some general house plants too.
cheers,
RJ
