This spring we planted a beautiful 5ft weeping pussywillow. It is already shedding it's leaves. There are many holes, slugs, snails? Do these trees loose their leaves early or do you think we have a problem?? Any help would make my husband very happy. Thank you. Valery

Welcome valery. I don't know much about these plants. They don't like the dry heat we have here in southern California. But here is some info I found on a past question similar to yours.
