I am sensitive to smells. Peppermint is an aroma that doesn't make me sick or give me a headache. Yankee Candle used to make peppermint candles but not anymore. They haven't for a couple of years. Airwick used to have peppermint air fresheners but not anymore. Evidentially most people don't like it. If any of you know of or run across peppermint smell things please let me know - online or in the store. And I'm going to order a bunch so I can have a stash.

Have you checked amazon? That's where I go for things I can't find in stores.

Try e-bay.

I found a candle fragrance there that I had wanted but that had been discontinued by party lite.

I went to Amazon and found a peppermint spray for only $4.00 but the shipping was 8.65.

Yes the shipping is a killer everywhere.
During the Christmas season you may get a little more in the way of options. Jonni got some candy cane (peppermint) products from Avon one year. I loved using the bath gel on Ted. It was invigorating. So check Avon.

I'm so mad at Yankee Candle over this. The girl at the store told me it was one of the best sellers and a lot of people have been asking for it.

I'll check Avon. Thanks.

Sheri, I agree - you will most likely be able to find lots of peppermint scented items closer to Christmas. Actually, all our stores currently have Halloween items out, so you probably will be able to find it in about a month or so.

I have a peppermint jar candle that I can only use when I am in the mood, because even though I LOVE mints, it is a bit too strong smelling when the candle burns.

sheri--
I just went to e-bay and typed in: yankee candle peppermint
and 25 differnt auctions popped up. and sometimes the shiping is not so bad--give it a try. besides if you like it, and it is a scent that works for you,---does the shipping really matter???

at least go and look.

PS
if you do not have a pay pal account, you can message the seller and ask if they would accept payment with a money order or a check---often they will do that, but you have to ask before you bid.

I never would have thought peppermint would be hard to find, I thought everyone liked it. I've used a natural peppermint liquid soap from Dr. Bronner's, I used to get it at a local healthfood store, Bronner's had several scents, but I'm pretty sure they'd still have that, and Bronner's has been around forever in healthfood stores, as far as I know. Being a natural product, and not sticky or "Soapy,", I'd think you could use it in a wick-type air freshener. It makes the bathroom smell great when you shower with it.

I tried that first thing and didn't get any peppermint candles. I'll try again. Maybe I mispelled it and didn't realize it. Thanks for looking.

I didn't think of a health food store. I'll try that. The store around here that used to sell essential oils has closed down.

Buy It Now $109.99

I don't want it that bad. rspb

I didn't originally look far enough down on Ebay. The first bunch of them are Cranberry Peppermint or Vanilla Peppermint so I had to scroll down to find Peppermint only.

Thanks a bunch.

I hope something is a good enough buy--if not, keep looking things change quite often on e-bay.

I bought some "Only carried during the holidays" party lite candles in the spring.

Just so I am clear: would you please tell me....
when it comes to the Yankee Candle Peppermint scent--
is it called just "peppermint" or is it possibly also called:

Jack Frost Peppermint-
or
Peppermint Stick......
or
Simply Home Peppermint
or
Peppermint Swirl

all of the above I found and so now I am completely confused.... why

simply home peppermint is the one I used to buy all the time. I also used to buy lemon, just plain lemon, and burn it in the kitchen. It made everything smell so clean.

Last edited by Bestofour; Sep 17th, 2009 at 03:15 PM. Reason: they discontinued lemon too
