I thought I had asked this, but couldn't find the post. WinZip is no longer free and not included in the standard package.

Does anyone have a FREE zip utility that they use and have been happy with? I need to zip some files and and not happy that I can't. I don't really can't pay for WinZip right now.

Windows comes with a built in archiving tool; not sure how to use it at all lol...

WinRar however is far superior to WinZip, and has a shareware version out, not entirely sure of its terms for shareware however.

Every time I try one of the freebies, soon as it uploads, and checks my web, it tells me , I wil have to get a license to take the rest off .
