I have several different types of seedlings which I began growing 2 to 3 years ago. I would now like to transplant them. They are every small still about 12 to 24 inches. I have a red maple and the others are flowering trees, which I ordered from Arbor trees. Some are crabapple but I am unsure of what the others are. I would like to know if there is a rule of thumb about this. Should I transplant in the spring? Or in the Fall? After first frost? Can I transplant them now? I would appreciate any info on this.

Thanks
CJ

How sad no one responded here!!! How have you done with your young trees? spring and after all frost danger is the best for young trees. Gives them a chance to get established roots before winter. some protection from cold there first winter is also a good practice.
