Hi Tina. Boy Marica, I'm glad someone thought to measure that too. It would have been bad to knock down the gate especially since the kitchen caught on fire the other day.

I am wondering how far away the large landslide was from Bill this morning.

Didn't know there was one. I'll look it up.

It wasn't anywhere near either of us. It was way south and towards the east.

A very long day for me today but I have a big pot of homemade beef vegetable barley soup on. Maxi is napping but I think the smell of delicious soup will probably wake him soon.

Hot soup on a cold and rainy night is a good thing.

We actually got up to 50* today and the sun is out- feels good on my face- sat on front porch for a short period of time today.... still taking it easy and am tired today- didn't sleep much last night- so going to bed early tonight...
We had an addition to our extended family on the 8 my sil Jon's sister had her 3rd baby boy- they are doing well and home from hosptital now- so all is well- we were kind of worried about her cause she gets gestational diabetes and was very sick for a while.... all is well now..
Well gotto go and sit again for a while---

Tina, did you ever get your seeds out? They will really like this rain.

No Sheri. You are right they would. But I have been so busy with other things. Ted's flu for one. He is recovered now so it will happen very soon

Nana what great news about the little one added to the family. It is so good to hear that both mother and baby are fine now.

Maxi did wake up, have some soup, got a shower and then I read to him for a while before he went to bed.

He needs to get to bed by 9 but he thinks he should be able to stay up far later. His body just can't take that kind of a schedule, though.

I'm very tired myself tonight and don't plan on being up much later.

Congrats on the new baby and both of their health.
And For yours as well. A little sun on the face feels good especially when you know it won't last much longer.

Well I went to sleep as soon as I finished posting that last one- slept till 8.. got up made a pot pie and ate it..when I woke up I thought it was morning....LOL! now I have a show I DVR's on and am almost ready for bed again... at least I am not coughing to much now....
I am really getting cabin fever though- just may try and go out somewhere tomorrow - if its fairly warm...
well off to finish up the movie- and go back to bed.... all I can do is sleep it seems

I haven't read back.
I've been sorta sick this evening so I've taken it easy and just finished polishing my tiara. The silver was tarnishing and now it looks so pretty and shiny! I love shiny stuff!

Just arrived back home from the "Camp House"-- the little place we are renting while we wait for all of this Farm stuff to come together. The movers finished a little after 1am. They parked the 40' van at the nearest gas station and used what amounted to a large-ish U-Haul to shuttle stuff to the Farm. And of course it rained all day looooooooong.

Sounds like most everyone is feeling better. Keep up the good work!

As I finish my adult beverage before turning in... . Man! There's nothing quite like moving to show you how much stuff you have. 51 cartons of books. That seems reasonable to me. But 18 fishing poles? I like to fish as much as the next guy. But 18?? And why do we have two boxes of "Caroline's Christmas Decorations" when Caroline hasn't lived at home for 8 years?

I think I ranted about stuff back in May or June, didn't I? Lord.

Today is my day off from any appointments. I had a rough night last night so after I get Mr. Maxi off to school, I am going to lay down again.

Where is everybody today?!

Instead of going back to bed quite yet, my girl and I cleaned out the ice box. A chore long neglected and we're so happy to see it done. The dishwasher will run on "heavy" load and she's going to do the floors while I lay down. My chair makes a mess on damp floors so it is good to do it when I'm not rolling hither and yon.

I just had a vision of Merme rolling hither and yon on a damp floor leaving shiny trails behind her... better to let it dry I think...
I slept in ...it's clooudy so kept my room dark and cozy...but I am awake now.... have my coffee... need it to wake up.... don't have boys today so can take my time doing it.
Well off to find something to eat ... hmmmmmmm what sounds good.

How is everyone today?

I am fighting off yet another stress headache already. I really need to stop looking at certain things online, and then hopefully my head would relax a bit.

Good news is that I have been knitting a bit again, which always is satisfying to me. I am almost finished with another baby sundress - which will actually be a jumper instead, as it's knit in a warm yarn. I do not have a baby girl in mind - need to wait for someone to tell me that they are having one! But I will shop for a cute onesie to put under this jumper, and have already made a carseat blanket to go with it, so I will have a nice gift when needed.

I wouldn't be going out at all today - cloudy and rain iminent - but I don't have any canned catfood for their lunch today. Boy having 6 cats to feed keeps me in the petstore often!

Anyone want to pay some bills for me today?!?

I went back to the couch and slept like a log...thinking about doing it again now that I have taken my pills.
It's cold and damp outside...a god day to sleep...and I love my new pillowcase I got for my big purple body pillow..it's so soft and snuggly. I may have just talked myself into getting back on the couch. I really need to do a few things around here (like vacuum) because I will be gone to Lexington all day tomorrow for my appointment with the surgeon.

Good luck with your surgeon, Cindy. I still pray for a fix for you daily.
I needed to shop for a few things. I'm really not sure how this storm is going to treat us here and we could conceivably be stormed in for a day or two.
I am also watching the southeast because they are having as much weather or more than we are.
So I took Ted to school and took Jonni's list to the store. We should be good for a few days anyway. And for a month or more if I need to get into my emergency supplies. I am very happy for what this weather does for our fire season though.

Lynne I hope you post pictures in Hobbies about the sundress you knitted. I am so glad you can do at least some knitting now and don't have to avoid it altogether.

sorry I did not see this sooner, Diane. I was messing around with Photobucket---
have I ever said h ow myxch I DO NOT LIKE the "upgrades" that PB has made, well if not now is the time. It used to be so easy to add pictures to your PB albums from your computer--now it is such a chore--well at least to me it is.

But I finally got a few pics added so I could post a few of my new photos on the forum. How are you these days???

I don't care for Photobucket's "upgrades" either, Carol. It takes me forever to get things done.

Maxi got home from Karate, had some beef stew I made last night, and has hopped in the shower. It is yet another night he will be late getting to bed, but that is the way it turned out tonight.

I want him to turn the heat on, too, before he goes to bed.

Hi all,
Came in to say good night before I head up to bed... Joe made us burgers for dinner... was good- I almost have an appetite back... still can't eat very much at a time though...

I actually drove today and picked up Nicoli- then got home and Carrie picked them all up... I went to sleep for an hour or so- but at least my naps are getting shorter....

Joe was filling the coffee pot with our filtered water dispenser- forgot he was doing it and ended up flooding that end of the kitchen... had to move out the fridge to get the water out from under it- then of course since it was out had to clean the floor and wall ... found a couple frige magnets back there too... now at least it's one place I don't have to clean... Joe is going to go tomorrow and get the stuff to fix the wall in my office so we can paint it and then hang the shelves I want for my books... going to do it the way I want it this time.... hopefully I will feel good enough tomorrow to go pick out he color I want for the shelf wall...

well I am tired- going to head to bed ... sure glad I can sleep in now- sure seem to need it..

Having your office set up just the way you want with shelves exactly as you want them will be great. What color are you thinking of?

Sorry about the watery mess in your kitchen my friend. Why is it that kitchen disasters always seem to be so much trouble?

My girl did my kitchen floor today and it was looking really nice. Maxi splashed beef stew all over just a few hours later! But after he got the wet mess up, he cleaned that area of the floor again to get up the grease so the floor wouldn't be slick there and make my chair do black tracks. My girl would have cried if she came tomorrow and saw black tracks!!



The kid did put the heat on before he went to bed. It is finally cozy in here! I've been shivering me timbers all the day long, so this is a relief!!


Off to bed, so bye for now.
