None of the pictures when taken inside, the ones that look different were taken at dusk with a flash...I thought they turned out pretty good myself.

Fantastic,!!! Thanks for Sharing Iggygal the close up of the broadtail is a Prize Winner! Awesome photos! I'm glad you made it back safe and sound is that you in the first Picture??? No that is actually my son. He went to take down the feeder before we left and they started coming to the feeder while it was in his hand as to say, "please don't leave!" WOW what an experience,, You pictures are just fabulous. I'm so glad you posted them and very very cool you put up a feeder when you got there,, They sure found it fast Huh?

Diane, I saw a male house sparrow yesterday, didn't know what it was, came to this page and here's my answer. Learning all the time.
Mr. Mockey does look a bit distressed.

Mr. Mockey, as are most birds this time of year, is going throught the Summer Molt, when most birds look their SHABBIEST! Look for TOTALLY BALD Cardinals, both male AND female, as well as TOTALLY BALD Blue Jays. They are HILARIOUS (as well as creepy-looking). It is normal appearance at this time of year and in a few weeks they will be prettier than ever.

Dodge go to your Recycle Bin on your computer and open it up and find the picture,, it should be there! When you delete anything it goes to your recycle bin( trash can) I've accidently deleted pictures and went there to retrieve them.

The Black-Chinned spend the Summer in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, so that's what you've got. All the field marks check out, too.

It's either a Female House Finch or a female House Sparrow. I would say Sparrow, but it's hard to tell from this angle.
