the weatherman says it's 53 but being outside doesn't feel like it with the wind. I was cold. It drizzled a tiny bit today. The normal temp is 72. What has happened? It's going to be 34 in the morning and we've got a frost warning. Tomorrow is supposed to be 64 and sunny.

I was hoping to get my cover crop planted in the garden before it got so cold.

This weekend WAS a heatwave, Sheri. One of the reasons I was waiting a bit longer. Wind and heat are seedling killers here

Oh My Merme sorry - hope it's like ours was a just a preview of coming attractions...
much later attractions I hope...

It's been a fairly productive day here... actually cleaned my living room , took out the newspapers, emptied all the trash cans in the house...vacuumed some too- going to have boys tomorrow - Nicoli all day and others after school.... think I am up to it... feel a lot better now- almost normal except for my tired levels- they are still to easily met.... but I am resting a lot in between cleaning efforts...

Well I am headed to bed a few short minutes.... got to close up the house again - we had almost 80 * today- really strange but sure nice to air out the house for a couple days after all the sickness we have had--- just feels better...
Nite all.

Our sun finally peeked out at us this morning. It is drying up out there and we are at 40 degrees. This is terrific!!

Tomorrow is my surgery and so I am trying to get as much done today as possible. I sent my girl to the store because I will have three days in a row I won't feel much like cooking and Maxi will still need to eat. I sent her to get easy fixings.

Fortunately, the laundry is done, the dishwasher has been run and emptied. I did get the pink out of Maxi's karate uniform, too.

So, the next few days will be fairly easy for us to keep going smoothly.

Morning all,
Glad you got things ready for the next few days Merme... always nice to get things ready for times you know you will not have the energy to get things done .... Maxi will be a big help I am sure....
I was up early today... got Joe's coffee ready and read the paper.... played on the puter and now I better head for the shower....Nicoli will be here soon... still need to clean the kitchen and bathroom floors- may get that done today....supposed to be warm today too and then drip about 30* tomorrow... and rain.... so going to go grocery shopping tonight for some fresh stuff for the house.
Have a good day!

Yes pitiful students. But I have little pity for their parents.
I got to work outside today. The sun did come out for an hour or two but hid behind cloudy haze again. Great weather for working.

Good Morning, Mark & Tina. breakfast

Mark, Nice to see you---how have you been???

Tina do not work too hard.---aren't you going to get done with all the work you have to do, soon??? why rolz I am thinkin' it is time for a break.

I myself am going to pull weeds this afternoon. they realy got out of hand in my rocked area since I pulled the muscles a while back.
Supposedly it is to be 73 today.---So if the sun shines and it does not rain for once, that is my plan. This morning, first, I need to take Rod's truck to get the thermostat fixed.--It all works out well, as the mechanic drops me off at my ceramics place & someone from there brings me back by and drops me off at the work shop after ceramics and I pick up the truck. he always works it out so it is done by the time I am done with ceramics. Small towns are wonderful sometimes.

Everyone have a great day!!! wavy

That does sound like a nice plan, Carol. I hope it all goes smoothly.
I really have taken breaks, Carol. Sometimes whether I wanted to or not. Like Ted's flu week and during our colds things got put aside. And sometimes I just did not go out at all and rested.
A garden is a never ending task, though. I have only gotten a small portion near anything that I would call finished. I have plants and bulbs to plant and seeds yet to do too.
When the weather is bad I still have a house to try to manage. Another never ending task.

flwr MARK! HOW NICE TO SEE YOU!! flwr

I so enjoy Amaryllis.... can't wait to see your pictures!

Well, we got a surprise. Maxi mailed off three packages of flower bulbs on Saturday... to CT, PA and OH. The package to CT arrived in Monday afternoon's mail! Wow, that was FAST! And,the friend Maxi sent them to was absolutely delighted with what he sent. He sent her Angelique tulips which are a light pink and sorta look like peonies. Very pretty and have a nice scent.

Good afternoon.

Good to see you Mark.

I usually give bad school reports but today I have a good one. All the nurses went to one of the county middle schools to give seasonal flu shots to the sudents who brought back signed consents and we were fully expecting screaming, kicking and crying. Only one student screamed, a boy, and only 1 had to be softly held in place and he is an ec student and may not have full understood the process. The other students were polite and many even said thank you. It was a great experience.

Beautiful weather here today.

that is great news, Sheri. I have my seasonal flu shot. Soon I am going to get the pneumonia shot. Then all that will be left is my H1N1 shot. I am hoping I can get it someplace. Seems I am not on any "preferred list". why

Good Morning ...
We have rain and that nasty s word... its cold too 32*.. Joe got up early on his day off and took Jospeh to school then came back and got the other 2 and took them to school... Carrie says she will take Nicoli- but right now they are in bed and cozy reading books....LOL! We lost or tv - guess the snow is to wet for the dish and is sticking on it , hope it melts soon.... think it is coming back now..

We plan to go the the Depot and pick out the paint and shelves for my office- Yay! Joe will fix holes in walls and paint tomorrow - then... then I can move the puter and all related stuff in there... he will put up shelves next week and I will be back in business out of my family room, bedrooma and various drawers I have stored stuff in... so glad....

Got to go grocery shopping today too... we are revamping our eating style so we are needing to get a few things in and I really need to start cooking...hopefully I will have some energy today...
Have a good day today!

Good morning. I would love to hear about the revamp of your eating, Nana. I love food talk.
I overslept this morning. But I still need to go out for a couple of items. So I am on on my way out the door.

I finally got outside to weed some things--

well I did 1 small bedding area, and began to clean up my patio block walkway.----Now this involved picking up, cleaning around and moving each 1 ft square block. after I had done 10 of them, that were side by side I stopped for the day. But hey, I have gotten ride of a heaping 1 gallon bucket of weeds & such.--I have a lot to finish yet, but I did get a lot done as well.....

Now I really need a bath and a bed---but it is too early for any of that now though----- why

wavy Hi everybody!

I have finally really woken up, I think, after all the drugs yesterday & a difficult night last night. I had a good deep nap after dialysis today and that seems to have chased away the last of the sleepies.

Carol I'm glad you were able to accomplish all that work. Good job well done! thumbup You did good, kid.

Nana your weather seems to be as crazy as ours has been... or perhaps even crazier because we are not shooting up to 80 degrees any time soon. Winter has arrived unseasonably early and it looks like it might be here to stay.

I hope your TV is back by now... that would drive me nuts.

It will be heavenly, I'm sure, for you to get your office set up just the way you want. Can't wait to see pictures!

Tina & Merme---Thank you both so much.
I really wanted to finish my walkway, as it is going to rain the next few days--but I knew my back would not like me if I did.---Like Tina says a bit at a time.

Valarie just woke me up and invited me to go on the Road Rallye with her, her Boyfriend, and my 2 nieces This next saturday night---I had written on facebook that I was going by myself if I had to one day---but here she invited me...yipeee.
