I haven't seen any birds at my feeders for a few weeks now,, What's going on?? change of seasons? tired of the same bird seed? I did however see a woodpecker for the first time this fall, only because I heard it I went looking in my trees for it.

Birds sometimes abandon feeders for awhile if there is a BUMPER crop of natural food avaialable, like this year.

Right now, I am SWAMPED with birds and a squirrel at my feeders. The squirrel is an old friend, Lady Belle Amie Johnson.

Ahh, how is the good lady these days? Has she put on some condition for winter?

Belle Amie looks to be fat and sassy! She was at my bird feeder this afternoon and then was sitting on our Jack-0'-Lantern. She has been absent this Summer due to the demands of Motherhood, but she's back, now, baby!
