Good morning.....I still feel drugged.

It can be hard to shake off some medications, I know. Hopefully you'll perk back up soon and your head'll clear. Hopefully!

Poor Maxi was all done in by my middle-of-the-night trip to the ER and then being with his dad & little brothers. He ended up late for school this morning but I was determined to let him sleep in a bit first.

He has second auditions for drum major today. I didn't know he had already done his first one. What this child forgets to tell me!

The wheel chair ramp man will be here soon.

Hello,
I came in and got kicked off net for a while so got busy doing stuff... have Nicoli now - he went to school today... still has a cough but feels better ... sure hope so cause they are spending the night here tonight... got pot roast for them all ready to go for dinner...hopefuly homework- bath and bed will go well- getting out the airbeds for them tonit- they are to hard to let sleep with us - no one rests well so will put 2 in the living room and one on the floor upstairs...
Its been warm and so nice the last few days but now it's supposed to cool off a lot like 30 * and snow and rain- such wierd weather ... back and forth ....

Well off to start getting ready for the big ones to be home- wind is getting worse too so may just keep them inside--- I am so done with kids being sick already this yr..

hello everyone--I am back from my days visit to the dr. I think I am done now until the spring!! yea me!!!!

It was a beautiful day and my DD (Valarie) & I had a wonderful day.

I'm glad tomorrow is Friday. It has seemed like a long week. Tomorrow is exceptionally busy as I have to see my cardiologist first thing in the morning and then rush off to dialysis. I'll be grateful for tomorrow night!

Carol I'm so glad you are appointment free til springtime!

Sherri I hope you all have a good night with your sleepover. You do have adorable grands, but so many little ones in the house all at once can be tiring.

I'm making a last cup of Red rose tea to have while I read my latest Agatha Christie before heading off to bed. I will be glad to get there soon!

It was a long night - got two coughing with runny noses and sneezes... so they will be home from school- Joe is coughing too and finally agreed to go to doc if it doesn't stop this weekend...
I am tired- need a nap but that won't happen , they may be sick but they aren't tired....
well I am off to take my well one to school... prayers for Cindy - and for Merme's appt with heart doc to go well... and dialysis to be easy too....
it's cool here too- 39* and we are supposed to get snow and rain- 2-5 inches by Sun.... lucky us!

I am sorry you still have sick ones, Nana. It is hard with so many.
I took Teddy to school and stopped to see what looked good in the store. I have a mess of bacon cooking now. Not exactly sure what for yet but it was a good deal.

OH Tina,
I love bacon but since it is high salt I am avoiding it right now--- I used to cook it in the oven in a jelly roll pan on a rack- gets rid of fat and grease and then you can freeze as is or crumble for other uses and freeze... ummmmm. now I am hungry!
I have a stew to stick in crock pot in a few... will be dinner tonit for us... with some rolls .... getting colder already....
Well better go feed the boys something = this isn't affecting appetites ... they are starving Nana....LOL!

Hello,
I am ready to go to bed... long day with boys fighting with each other... they couldn't seem to play nice today... or be happy with eatch other for more than 2 minutes at a time... made for long day for me..
We are getting snow now... not supposed to be a lot but its cold- I am goign to have a cup of tea and hit my pillow ... hopefully I will get to sleep in tomorrow..

Timothy was amazed today cause he got a 100 on his spelling test- I had given him a practice test last night and had him write the ones he missed five times each... he even got all the bonus words right-it's funny cause he is a notorious bad speller - sees no point in it cause computers have spell check... he said Nana you know I should do th words like that every week... gee do teachers give any guidence to the kids these days as to how to study...
oh well... I am crabby and I am going to bed now- finish watching Medium... and hopefully to sleep.

That is cool on the spelling, Nana. They don't teach the things some kids really need. I don't think any of mine learned any library skills at all. And that is sad.
I hope you feel better tomorrow and the boys get over their cranky before you have them next.

I found some chamomile/lavender tea at the store today. I'm having my second cup now. Very relaxing, which I'm going to need before I completely lose my mind and take two teenage girls shopping for dresses tomorrow.

Carol Jean do you have a cup of that coffee to spare? The silly telephone woke me up (a recorded message) and I am too sleepyheaded to make a pot for myself right now!

It is supposed to rain a ton today and tomorrow. So far, it hasn't but the sky is so overcast it doesn't look at all like 9 AM.

I hope the dress shopping goes well today, Cheryl.

Tomorrow afternoon we have plans to take Maxi shopping. Because of the high school he is applying to, he has to attend a "shadow day" there and be dressed according to their dress code. So tomorrow, we are shopping for a blazer, dress slacks or kakhi's, a dress shirt, tie, and hard shoes. He is also hoping for some new jeans! My son hates trying on clothes, so this should be interesting!

I wish Lynne was a neighbor so she could meet us there! She is such a good shopper I bet she'd have that list nailed immediately!

Morning everyone! Got a decent nights sleep and I'm up a little early for a Saturday. Merme, I've got some extra coffee, we never seem to be able to finish a pot. I have the second to last load of laundry in the washer already and I'll start breakfast in a little bit. I'm going to need most of the day to take the girls shopping. I've been shopping with them before, they are not quick shoppers. They are really excited though so hopefully this will be more fun than stressful for me. It isn't the girls I'm worried about, it's everyone else. I'm doing well on my little novel, almost halfway to the winner's line. I think this story is going to be longer than the required minimum but that's okay. I'm having fun writing it. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I hope you become a published author, Cheryl. So I can say I knew you when. I see Pulitzers and Nobels in your future.

my niece is also writing so many words a day---she lives in a suburb of Seattle---Issaquah

I know where Issaquah is. It's a very pretty neighborhood on the way to the mountains. Seattle has been holding the number one spot in the world on the NaNoWriMo website. We apparently have a lot of writers in Seattle and surrounding areas. If you ever make your way out here to see your niece let me know.

Tina, I would love to become a published author, that would be so cool! My writing would definitely never win any nobel's though.

We went dress shopping today, I did't lose my cool and didn't have to medicate. Go me! I posted a picture of the dress they picked out on my wedding blog if you'd like to see. Time for me to get back to writing, see you all later!

Good morning everyone.I had an excellent fishing trip last night. I caught two big catfish in an area I haven't gone fishing at in over two years. The area has changed in that there are reeds growing all over that area and the water level has gone up.I also caught ten bluegills.

Did you fry your catfish up emde'?

I still have it.I'm waiting for my camera's batteries to charge so I can take pictures.They're still alive.

Hi all,
Been a lazy morning for me... we have about footand a half of snow in the yard... snowed most of the night- cold too- 27* right now.... going to make up a couple loaves of french toast and some pancakes for the boys... stick my leftover roast chicken in the crock pot with a bunch of leftover veggies ..make some chicken soup... will make good warm lunches this week..
Well off to get it started and then start on getting the house redded up as my gma used to say--- going to have boys overnight 2 days this week so want to get as much done now as I can....
