Good morning! I've had a busy day already and it is only 10:30 AM. I ran up to my cardiologist's office to have a monitor bolted ( ) onto me for the next 24 hours. Then we ran to Target which is near the cardiology office. I got a 6V battery for our giant flashlight to be prepared for winter storms. Man dear, those 6V's are heavy and expensive! I got Maxi a pair of boots in the work boot style he has been asking for. I remembered hangers of all things! And, I got 20 lbs of ice melty stuff. Now we are finally home and I am ready for some tea and toast. Merme

Hi all, Sounds like a good start Merme... Hope the bolts didn't hurt... all ready for winters worst I hope... I still need to get some extra water in and some canned food too... The boys are at the cranky cause they are sick but bored with all the stuff we have to do- they finally settled on playing school... good for both of them right now... I need a nap..... boy why and how can they wear me out so fast....? I am off to finish the laundry - I would like to start on the blankets I am making the twins but that will wait till Sat... not up to spreading them out on the floor and pinning today... Have a goood day-- back later after I cure the latest round of boredom... Nana

Sorry I was not around today, everyone. What began as a 30 minute visit with my sister, turned into a 5 hour trip. But it was a nice day. So that was all good. I really just came in to wish everyone a good night's sleep. I am so tired, I am yawning to beat the band (so to speak). Everyone sounds so busy---I hope you all remain well. I hope to see you all soon. night night.

It does sound like you had a long day, Carol. I'm glad it was nice. I'm heading to bed. I am getting a lot done around here. Most of that outdoors. So I get tired early.

Good morning, everybody!
7:21 and it is pouring outside. Maxi was glad for his new work boots. He's never owned a pair before but he tells me they are comfortable and I must say, they look good on his feet!
This morning I go back to the cardiologist and turn in the monitor. Then I'm off to dialysis.
I'm so grateful today is Friday. It has been a complex week.
We had a tragedy in our little town; a murder-suicide which has everyone shocked. These weren't young, tempestuous people -- the kind depicted through the media. They were both in their early 50's and she was VP of a major corporation and he'd spent his career in law enforcement. They'd been married more than 30 years. The details of the letter he left behind were not released to the public, but at least a few people know his reasons. It is all very sad!
I'm going to open my front door and let the fresh air in.
Merme

Good Morning Merme and all that is just waking up! I'm glad it's Friday also! It's been a long hard week for me too. Today at work we have a lot of work to do,, Glad it's picking up but I've kinda gotten spoiled with not so much work,, it's hard to shift back into "busy" mode. You know Merme, it's hard to understand why someone would commit a murder/suicide, the pressure of things people can't seem to work thru just makes them snap I guess, Sad for the families. It's raining this morning, and I have more brugs blooming, I love that smell first thing in the morning, brug blooms are wonderful to wake up too

Diane I envy you your blooming brugs! Well, actually, I envy any blooming anything! I think you are right about that murder/suicide issue, Diane. And it is very sad for the families. My girl just arrived and my breakfast is ready, so I gotta go. I hope you have a good day at work, in spite of the extra busy-ness. Merme

Good Morning !!! I have been up for over 3 hours, and all I have gotten accomplished is paying bills.---I am now on my way to the shower. I am then on my way out of the house to spend the day doing some "Window Shopping" just for me. It is a beautiful day out and I am going to take advantage of it. I cannot remember when I last took a leasurely day like this, just for me--so this one is it---(and perhaps tomorrow too.) This is Deer Hunting Weekend in IL so I am sorta a 'hunting widow'. DH will be back every evening, and he usually stays out in the "field" so to speak the entire 3 days, unless he gets his deer sooner. But, hey, at least he will be gone all day for the entire 3 day weekend, & I do not have to cook for him. yea me!!!!! "See" you all later---

Hi Carol Jean. If I had known you were paying bills I would have sent mine over.
You should take some time for yourself. Sometimes it's nice to go looking alone and have a cup of tea.
Speaking of deer hunting, I read in Birds and Blooms today that deer hunters should save the fat from their kill for suet for the birds.

Morning (barely) I would have sent you my bills too Carol . just finished doing mine too and now I need to fix the boys lunch... if they weren't contagious I would have sent them to school- they are running all over - feel better I guess... just in time for Mom to get them back.... Yay! It's chilly here today- only 50* but sun is out so feels better than that,,, Teresa should be here soon too and that will help - maybe I can get some stuff done if she will entertain the boys for a while- they are tired of nana I think,, back later..... Ohsoveryglad we are in Friday night! Phew! I came home from dialysis, had a snack and a nap. Then I got up and Maxi went to lay down. Now we finally have dinner in the oven but won't be eating til 8:30 ... well, so, we are "dining" tonight! I gotta rest as best as I can tomorrow because I am going to early church on Sunday and then I have to go to dialysis. Because of the holiday, the unit will be closed so everyone's schedule is different for this week. Instead of going Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I will be going Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. Maxi will be going to his dad's after his half day on Tuesday and then will come home late in the day on Wednesday. I do not have dialysis Wednesday but I will be having a full day of cardiac exams. So if he were to come home after his half day on Tuesday, I would be at dialysis and then I'd be gone all day Wednesday also. It would be terrible for him to be stuck home and alone both days like that. So at least at his dad's he can be with his family and hang out with them. ALL the boys are getting a hair cut on Wednesday, too. So tomorrow I am kicking up my heels and hanging out, as idle as can be! Merme

Merme Yep, I am glad it is friday as well---BUT since the DH was off work today, I felt like it was saturday, si I feel like I get 2 saturdays---the 2nd one being tomorrow.. I am so glad that maxi will have a place to go while you are gone on your various appointments. This will keep him busy & then the both of you can take comfort knowing the other is taken care of. Doing nothing sounds like a good idea---I am seriously thinking of doing the same tomorrow. Right now I have an occasional dry cough, but hey no temp--so I guess it could be allergies.
