Well, here is the kid all dressed up to visit Chevrus High School on December 8th. I think he's looking pretty fine...

Thanks, Cindy. That blazer is the softest thing ever... it is 100% lambswool but thin and light to have on. He thought he was pretty darn Cool, too.

My Goodness Merme He sure looks like a studious Young man In that Picture,, ! So how did his day go?? Does he like the school??

Diane, he had a WONDERFUL day and is so very excited. He can't wait to hear if he's been accepted or not. We'll know soon. He loved the school so much he told me if he doesn't get accepted this year, he will apply again next year.

At the Exit Interview at the end of his day there was a survey he had to complete. The last question was "how would you feel if you received a letter of acceptance?" Maxi answered: I'd be thrilled.

There is such a lively, positive attitude in that school, I can see why he felt that way... I nearly wanted to apply for my own very self!

A very handsome young man you have there Merme! I'll keep my fingers crossed that he gets accepted. Sounds like it would really be a great school for him. You're so lucky to have a boy like that. I have two teen girls that would never apply to a school like that for one reason. Fashion. Girls are so into what they wear, it boggles me. Joey is much easier in that respect.

This school does have a very specific dress code but one couldn't really call it a uniform. They are allowed enough choices that I didn't see any two girls looking alike. (Thank Goodness for that! I do not care for that plaid look some schools have! ) What I did notice, though, is that everyone looked "dressed up" ... no jeans and t-shirts in sight.

I'm glad your girls are into fashion, Cheryl. I meet so many young women who could not care less and I think that is sad. I always think it is better to care than to not care.

This year, Santa brought him a man's jewelry box and valet for the top of his chest of drawers now that he is so grown-up. After all, he now owns a tie clip and a pair of cuff links! That's serious business for a boy don't you know?!

Your boy is going to make a fine husband for a lucky gal some day Merme... You certainly have the right to be a proud Momma.
