Well, I am heading for bed but I wanted to stop in and say goodnight. Gee, Lynne, you didn't have a very fun day out, did you? I'm sorry it all turned out that way for you. A few years ago I took a course with a therapist who specialized in stress management. He taught us meditation techniques to alleviate stress and lower BP. Now, I've never been a good meditation person... I'd much rather be up and doing and if I sit like that with my eyes closed I'm either thinking of all the things I should be doing OR I fall asleep! But I made myself learn what he had to teach and I did find it very very helpful although to this day I would not call myself any good at meditation. My thoughts still tend to be too busy. I tend to carry myself so tensely, I have woken myself up at night with every muscle clenched. So I did find his physical relaxation methods useful. Perhaps you could check out something like that? At least stress management techniques might give your new meds a little boost in efficacy? I'm off for now. 6 AM comes early here. Merme

OH my goodness, I guess I had better begin to cook now huh??/ I hope it is ok if I make all the baked goods tonight---that will save time in the morning---right???/---or I could make a run to the bakery---now there is a plan----
I missed Lynne's post about today--I'll go look at it now BRB.....
ok edited post now... Sorry about today too, Lynne---although so very glad that you made it home safely. And I am sure the being out was a good thing---
about me,. the waking up---at the first, it was nice sleeping---the sound usually puts me to sleep--so I must have been ready to wake anyway.--about the hurting, not doing too much, but I think I am "bending" too much---I will try to use my grabber more --it is SO hard to remember---but thanks for the concern.....

We will make it a potluck breakfast so no one person has to strain themselves or their budgets, Carol. I am done in for the day. I have seeds to put in tomorrow and some bulbs before the next rains tomorrow night. Good night all.

Good morning! We have a beautiful sunrise climbing up over the tree line and I can hear the wind picking up. It is supposed to be rather windy today. I have biscuits in the oven if anyone is interested. They are yummy with jam or honey.... Merme

Here ya go, Di. Fresh hot biscuits right for you! We are always up by 6 on school days though I may not make it here for a while. I find it so hard to get up on winter mornings at a time I am hopping out of bed in summer. Something about winter whispers to me "sleep, sleep". I spent some time this morning sending Maxi's English teacher an email and I sent copies to the principal and the vice principal as well. That woman is driving me crazy and I'm concerned she is wasting so much time on petty issues that she isn't actually teaching much. My girl is here and I have appointments today, so see you all later. Merme

Good Morning, everyone!!!!
wow I actually slept in some today--there must be something to the cold weather sleeping thing, Merme.
Thanks for putting up the biscuits, Merme, they sound yummy.
If anyone is still hungry, I have some zucchini bread, cream cheese, bacon, eggs & toast here- and I am just making a fresh pot of coffee---Rod only ever leaves me 1 cup of coffee, from his morning pot, today that is not enough.

I'll have some of your zucchini bread and cream cheese Carol - THANKS!
And thanks for the bit about meditation Merme. I know that is the way to go, but I've not been able to do that so far. Gonna keep working on it though.
It's bitterly cold here today and going to be colder tomorrow. Tonight I am going back into NYC for Don's office holiday party. We didn't get to go last year because it took Verizon 12 hours to install FIOS in our house - ridiculous, so I am looking forward to going tonight!
What's on everyone else's plate today?

Lynne I hope you have a wonderful time tonight! It would be nice if the demands on your time would slow down enough so you could invest some of it in yourself! But your demanding schedule is possibly one of the reasons for your stress to begin with! And if you could change that, you'd have less stress and therefore no need of a stress management class! So it is sorta retarded telling you to change your schedule to add a class!! Well, it did sound like a good idea at the time. Sorry about that, my friend!! I'm finishing up the monstrous Clean Out Of Closets Task. I wanna be done already.... (hear that whine? ) Carol I hope you had your fill of coffee. Merme

Merme - I actually have LOTS of "me" time - it's my thoughts that need to be redirected!
When you're done with your closets, wanna see if you can find some more closet space for us here? While our house is a nice size, it is very lacking in closet space!

have someone put a note in the mail box (if you have one)requesting stamps. the mailman will leave you stamps--well if you put money out there too
10 stamps are $4.40 & 20 are 8.80
I do it all the time---mine would even come to the door if I called the post office & requested that he do so.

Hi all, I finally finished my curtains and the ties for them, will iron them up and have them ready for the kids to pick up next time they come over... got Nicoli today- he is sick again... kid just has no immune system for colds at all... he plays okay but has the cough and runny nose- so he is playing with Nana today... will take them home tonight after dinner and get them to bed at their house- tomorow they are spending the night here.. it's Jon's office Christmas party.... I found my cards this morning in with the wrapping paper so now I just need time to get them done- maybe this weekend... its warmed up to 36* today and sunny- not exactly warm but sure better than it has been... Well off to go finish the kitchen and sweep the floor again- someone brough a bunch of sand in with their boots and it's all over the floor .... have I said how much I hate snow and sand and the mess it makes... no matter how many times I preach about wiping you shoes/boots outside before you come in and take them off on the rug ..... place in boot box ..... I would make them do it out in the garage but they tend to hold the door open then... can't win.. Nana

You get a lot done in a day, Nana. I did not accomplish any of the things on my mental list this morning. And now I'm trying to figure out dinner plans.

Our new Panasonic phones arrived tonight after six. I called my pal Angel to come over and help me put them in since Maxi was at Karate. She came over and we had a nice visit and she got the phones all set up and charging. We left my phone in for tonight, just in case, but it will be easy to remove tomorrow morning and put in the donation box.
It was nice to get a Christmas gift so early.
Maxi got home from Karate and I had made some home made Chicken vegetable noodle soup so he had some of that and then finished up his homework.
We are off to bed now so I'll see you all tomorrow!
Safe away home O my palies and sweet dreams to you all.

Good morning, everybody! Nana ~ Fitzwilly was on the other night, also. We tuned in, but I was busy with other things and couldn't focus on it. Unfortunately, we ended up turning it off and never did settle down for it. I will keep my eye out for when it is on again and hopefully will be able to pay attention to it next time! We are glad this is the end of what has seemed to be a very long week. Merme

WOW! The wind was blowing so hard today and it was downright FRIGID! I swear, I believed it was coming straight down from the arctic! It cut right through everything I had on, that's how hard it was blowing.
Boy oh boy, am I glad for our snug home.
Maxi has a friend from another town staying over night. Kyle used to go to school here but moved last year. So the boys are glad to be hanging out. Kyle bought his Xbox over, too, and I had never seen one before. It seems pretty nice.
Gotta think of something for these boys to have for dinner....

I am dropping in to say "good night" to everyone---and to
say "good morning" too !!!
Tomorrow Rod & I are going to take our 2 moms to a small town that has antique and "specialty" shops. I just love to go, but we always seem to miss the "Christmas in Lebanon" weekend. On that weekend, everyonme is dressed in period dress & people walk along the streets singing carols--it is so fun---but very crowded--- so this weekend will hopefully be less hectic for everyone concerned.
I'll "see' ya all later tomorrow.....

Good Morning, Everybody! I'm a little late getting on today because the boys were sleeping in the living room where our computer desk is. They were up til 2 AM playing with the Xbox. I fell asleep at 10:30 and I heard them laughing at 2 and got up and nudged them to shut the game down. They said they weren't tired yet. But as soon as they turned the lights out, they were both sound asleep!! Pretty good for two boys who weren't tired. We're going to have a heat wave today. We are going up to a tropical 27 degrees by noon. Anybody remember that song? "Heat wave, we're having a heat wave..." Gotta go get stuff done. See you all later! Merme

Jeepers, where has everybody been today?!
It is so cold with the howling wind this evening, the poor furnace can't keep up. We're doing laundry and cooking just to add some much needed warmth.
I had a hard time getting Maxi's overnight guest to leave. After he did finally leave, I explained to Maxi that is was important to have Start Time and End Time for all gatherings, and he understood, I think. Next time will be better. But truly, this was the first time in several years we've had a kid guest who didn't wanna leave and/or his parents were remiss in returning for him.
Maxi is cleaning up his room, I'm desperately searching for my spiral notebook which has all my pageant notes inside. I had it in my purse and my girl took it out and whoknowswhere she put it?! I must have it with me for rehearsal tomorrow.
I hope somebody stops in later!

But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Hi Nana Sherri ~ Sorry I missed you! Maxi found my notebook for me... in a pile of blank notebook and construction paper stacked in a place I couldn't reach. I am relieved to have it for tomorrow's rehearsal. I'm going to tell my girl to never take it out of my purse again! Well, I've made a final cup of Red rose Tea which I'm going to have and then hop into bed. We have to make an early start tomorrow. Merme

Hi everybody! Can't be wishing anyone a good morning as it is late in the day and we just got home from church. Stayed late for pageant rehearsal. Now we are ready to eat a little something and take a nap. Merme
