That is a nice set up, Dodge. I am not bringing in a tree this year. I am still concentrating on my outdoors and the tree would mean I would have to rearrange indoors. Not yet ready to go there.

Go out to dinner an order the best. b I like the way that Barb thinks, Diane----and can you get one of these "Snoopy trees"?// they are big this year---my youngest is putting one up, since her DH is overseas this year. They are small & inexpensive, and if I do say so quite cute.--remember?? the small tree that Charlie Brown found for a Christmas Tree??? It looks just like the one in the Little 30 minutes movie/show. your Bread sounds good, barb---yummmmm and yes I could use a tngerine tree---at one time I had a small orange tree--but it got some disease & died.

I will keep you in mind Junigirl if it works. I did that to an apple an it grew.
Charlie brown tree was in our grocery store .. It had one limb an one bulb on it . I couldnt find the price . But they were sold out.
Know what ? I paid $20 for that pencil tree at walmart last year.
Not bad at all.
b Some of the churches in the area here have free meals for the folks who want to come there an eat, for christmas.......

well sad to say that I do not think I am having a Christmas tree this year--no one will get the stuff up for me and I cannot do such as that any more for myself.
I managed to get some of my decorating stuff up and did a small bit of that so far but not as much as I usually do---I am so sad about that---I LOVE Christmas.
So thanks Dodge & Sheri for showing me your trees. I will live vicarioulsy thru you all

That is very pretty, Sheri. Do you always use the red or do you change colors other years? This is the smallest tree we've ever had and I don't like it. I decided to go with big, red ornaments to see if it would look better. I bought some of the ornaments at Harris-Teeter grocery store, some including the topper at Lowe's, some and AC Moore and some at the Dollar Store. I usually have all different colors, shapes and sizes. I ordered the tree online from Balsam Hills and it's the most expensive tree I've ever had or will ever have. It looks totally different on their website. It looks full and to the floor. It's supposed to be 7 feet tall but it's not quite 6-1/2. I contacted them and they said I have to return it before Christmas to get a refund and then they don't refund shipping. Since it's so late in the year we decided to keep it and tell everyone we know not to order from them. It's truly false advertising. This tree is 3 feet off (I measured)the floor and I went back again and again and on the websit it is all the way to the floor. I told them I'd be contacting the Better Business Bureau and telling all my friends, that can't see it in person, how ugly this tree is. I got an email back saying that since they have said they will refund my money that the Better Business Bureau won't make a report and that may be true. We can put this in Johnny's office next year and I'll get one, maybe on sale, after Christmas. Thanks though. I can't see the other pictures while at work. I'll look at everyone's decorations when I get home.

Oh Diane, I think you should at least put up a tiny table top tree... maybe a foot or 18 inches high, just for your own sweet self to enjoy. You could do the old fashioned thing and put some popcorn & cranberries on it....
Dodge I like your pencil tree and nativity.

We were late taking our tree down... not until the 17th!! If it were up to Maxi, we'd leave it up until Easter Day! I enjoy looking at Christmas trees because of the seemingly infinite variety of how people decorate them. When I was a kid, I had an aunt who put Angel Hair on her tree every year. I haven't seen anyone do that -- or haven't seen it for sale -- in many years. Merme

angel hair--I remember seeing that on trees too, it was pretty. I think if you looked in a hardware store, you might find it. But you are right. I have not seen it for quite ahwile either.
about the taking it down late thing. I have a friend who one year, finally gave up & in february took down the ornaments & put up hearts, Then some Easter she put up those plastic Easter eggs. she said it was pretty.
