wavy Good morning, everybody!

We are getting snow again today but it isn't supposed to amount to much... just a few inches.

Paying bills today. Glad I can!

Well I am up way before I wanted to be. rspb Plow guy came at 8 to plow our driveway - I really didn't think it was necessary as we only got about 2 inches - I suppose he needs the money but at $40 a pop so do we!!! rolz Don was already outside shoveling, as a plumber arrived right after the plow guy left. Hopefully we will get this heating issue resolved before getting slammed with another bill that is as high as a mortgage payment! nervous Only thing is... I'm afraid to see the plumber's bill!!! shock

Good Morning Lynne and Merme,, Wellllll it's almost afternoon here.
Not working today, the breaker box blew up at work yesterday. That thing was so old I was surprised it was able to give any power at all. It's a good thing I was ahead on my work by two days.
Because I'm the last one to touch the dental appliances before they go back to the patients, I don't have any work to do until the new breaker box is installed and cases are processed for me to Finish. SOOOOOO Here I am sitting at home and getting paid for it thumbup Hee heee

Glad that you are home but yet getting paid, Diane- aren't days like that the best???

Merme I hope dialysis goes well.

Lynne--I hope that the heating issue is fixed, THAT is much to high a bill--well, unless you happen to be living in a castle. why

It snowed steadily all day but didn't amount to much at all.

Today Maxi's school had an anti-drug day, called STAR. He said it was boring, but then he always does because Maxi has zero interest in drinking/drugs. And his buddies feel the same way. They just have better things to do. So, there were no classes today.

He is looking forward to the Youth Retreat through church this weekend. A bunch of middle schoolers from around the state are meeting for this retreat in Bangor. That's about 3 hours north of here so Friday is going to be a long day... school til 2:30 and then that long drive.

Yes, I think so too, Carol. I am always a little shocked when I meet families whose kids participate in nothing at all... no sports, no music groups, no church of any kind (or synagogue) no scouting or community involvement, no clubs ... they just hang around at home or out and about w/ friends. That seems sort of rudderless to me, not having anything for direction. Shocking and sad.

Maxi is also looking forward to the fact that the kids on the retreat are going swimming! He hasn't had a chance to go swimming at all this winter so far. Usually his dad's girlfriend takes the boys to an indoor pool at one of the big hotels which allows people to come in and swim for $5. But they haven't had a chance to go this year.

Me, I am going to sleep on the weekend, putter around the house, and go to church.

My leg is healing, Carol.

My doc said it broke out in blisters from an allergic reaction to the antibiotic ointment a fill-in nurse put on me w/out permission from the doc. I was just glad it wasn't infected! And, the blisters are slowly going away. I still have to keep it wrapped, and the nurse is still coming every other day, but we are making progress.

The doc gave me some wrapping bandage called Coban. It is very cool. It is brown and comes in various widths. It isn't the least bit sticky to the touch, but it sticks to itself so you don't have to use tape. Lightweight and comfy too.

Did you see the email I sent you today?

Well, after 2 years of not having any of my beloved oranges because of dialysis, I found out recently I can have tangerines and clementines. So, I bought four oranges today and feel like a Princess! ha! Now I am going to put 2 leftover slices in my hot Red rose tea. It will be so yummy!!

I thought you might like that email, considering your signature line.

Have you all ever clicked on what you thought was one topic but was actually another and then sat here reading some posts wondering what in the world everybody was talking about? lol

It's cold here this morning but at least it isn't snowing today.

I have much paperwork to do today and I'm not looking forward to that!

Breaks are good.

I was doing this and that and noticed the muscle in the back of my thigh was really sore for some reason. And, the seat of my wheelchair was pressing into the sore spot. So, I also took a break and laid down to get the pressure off it. Oops! In my case, I fell asleep for an hour!!

Carol I think Oster & Hamilton Beach are about equal in term so longevity of use, wear, performance, etc.

I'm off to bed early tonight. Got to get an early start tomorrow and get Maxi all packed up for his trip. He is leaving 1/2 hour before I return from dialysis, so after 11 AM there won't be any opportunity for me to do anything else for him.

He is going to have a great time!

gotta love those volunteers, dodge!
I WAS very excited about my spinach seedlings. they all came up so fast and strong. I've been needing to get them outside in the garden, the weather is right for them here now. but, it's been too wet. the last couple of days though I've been looking at them more closly and they sure look like weeds. how disgusting! at least I didn't plant them already, I keep telling myself.
all my squash type seedlings are doing well, and with them at least I KNOW what they are supposed to look like.

hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Cricket is still visiting the library for an hour of computer time, poor thing! tears

Maxi got off on time for his weekend trip to Bangor. That is about 3 hours north of here. I called his cell after I got home from dialysis and he was about 45 minutes from their destination because they'd stopped for McD's.

He is gonna have a great time!

And, I am going to putter around and rest.

I it just before 5 AM and here I am, back again. I'm having a rough night. I slept 2 hours early in the evening. Got up for a while, slept 2 hours more. That seems to be all I can manage tonight.

So now I'm having some Red rose Tea and thinking about getting my paperwork done before my Saturday girl comes.

Looks like I'll be sleeping later.
