I'm having more trouble tonight with my PC, so I'm off for now.

Hopefully we'll get the issues resolved in the morning and I'll be back!

Good night. I'm going to feed the fires and go to bed. Boy am I glad my kids don't put away as much weight in food as the wood stoves do.

I hope y'all had a good, restorative night's sleep.

Good, I'm tired though. DD and my mother had a fight so she ended up back here Tuesday night and followed me to town yesterday....it was a long day. Last night I dropped her off at a friends house for the night. badday

I love her but she's hard on the nerves.

So how is your leg healing Merme?

My leg is healing well, Tam. It is just taking time.

So sorry DD gives you such a hard row to hoe. It is good, though, that you had another place to have her be for a bit. Giving you a short break. Sweet!

Maxi had fun snow tubing yesterday, though it scared him quite a bit. And, he was happy to meet up with an old buddy from our previous church he hasn't seen in several years.

I took my 6 year old niece sliding last month...I was sore for days. She got lazy on me and I had to haul her back up the hill egad

I told her 'once you weigh over 40 pounds...sliding is over with' haha

I'm glad Maxi had a great time.

Maxi was throwing a fit over his boot laces this morning.

One side had gotten extremely long and lost about 1/2 of the covering so the remaining half bunched up and he could not change the threading.

I told him not to worry because I know an Old Mom's Trick. I evened out the laces and smoothed out the bunched up covering. Then I wrapped a short piece of scotch tape around the loose end of the covering and it threaded through properly. thumbup

He was delighted!

And, best of all, he made a pot of coffee for me while I worked on his shoe. I really liked that trade off! lol

But geez, it seems he lost his patience when he became a teen!

clap coffee trades for fixed laces sounds great.

It seems the older they get the less patience they have...then that rubs off and we end up with less patience also. Mine was all gone yesterday by the time we got home...I was 6 hours in town, too long.

I have never been where they went tubing, a place called Oxford Plains. It sorta freaked Maxi out because the structures there were ramshackle. And secondly, a lift pulls you up the hill while you lay on your tube on your back facing downwards. Maxi has High Anxiety and he said it was pretty steep!

lol

He's never been on a lift before.

I agree, Tam, once they reach a certain weight they shouldn't get carried up any more!

I understand how worn out you were yesterday by the time you got home, Tam. Early in January I made the mistake of taking Maxi with me to Wal-Mart! Ay-yi-yi! I won't do that again until he is at least 65. lol

Nope, no plans. Today is my "day off" -- no dialysis and no other medical appointments. My girl will be here at 8 and do the dishes and laundry. I am going to continue sorting through and disposing of the backlog of papers I have stacked up.

haha Merme...Kids and wal-mart and not having much money doesn't go well together.

Yesterday she almost made me late for my doctors appointment..waiting on her to get ready here. Then she spent the Valentines money DH gave her and wanted the few dollars I had for myself..but I didn't give in.

Today is a quiet day for me also..just basic housework and a few loads of laundry. I only bake twice a week now.

I dealt with all my paperwork last month...I finally built a clothes closet in my bedroom and made a top shelf with boxes for filing~best idea I ever had.

Great idea for filing your papers, Tam.

I have a two drawer filing cabinet in a closet here. Even so, I end up with piles of papers and my girls are really bad about moving them around so I have to hunt for things. Every now and then I just have to clear it all out.

Yup, I bought a new fabric blind for my bedroom and hit the clearance clothes rack...then I bought a pair of denim capris and a hooded sweater for a grand total of $8. I wish I was smaller...last years summer clothes were all $3 and $5~most of it size small or medium though.

I bought those cardboard filers, they are the tall thin ones with dividers and a few baskets. Then I bought coupon holders to hold receipts and bills...works like a charm.

Maxi is desperate for new long pants. I gotta go shopping for him soon.

Well, I really need to lose at least 10 pounds...my clothes are snug, but now each time I go to town I take $10 and hit the clearance racks...it slowly adds up and you don't notice the money being gone at that low amount. Then I take $3 and pick up a necklace at 'Ardenes costume jewellry' store(clearance bin)...it's amazing the pretty things that gets thrown in there.

I have 10 lbs to lose also... maybe 12. Meantime, I need bras. So, I'm not going to wait because it might take a while to drop the extra poundage.

Oh, you wouldn't drive me crazy, Tam!

I get 26 hours a week now and have three different girls coming. One comes Monday through Friday, another comes on Saturday and the third one comes on Sunday.

You'd have a FIT if you saw how terrible at shopping they are!

26 hours sounds great... Don't get me wrong...I get calls for work alot but just because they want me to go in and do all the dirty work while the other family member they have hired(no one checks up here) does nothing~I got fooled twice like that before.

Then it costs me $800 a year to put a special insurance on my vehicle to be able to take them to doctors appointments then they fight and do not want to pay the gas....I went in the hole the last time I worked...couldn't even afford to keep up with the insurance.

They check what is going on here very carefully, Tam.

The problem here is the really good workers do not stay on the job long because they get a better offer -- something they deserve and need to take! And the lousy workers quit without notice and have poor work habits meanwhile.

I'm just glad when I have a girl who shows up on time ready to do something.

And, I always give them gas money because nothing is truly close by.

Well, laundry is in the washer; the dishes are in the dishwasher. I cleaned off my desk, wiped everything down. Opened the CPU and sprayed air to clean it. I can't believe how dusty it gets as fast as it gets it.

Plus, my desk is THE place where everyone puts things they don't want lost! yikes

Now I am ready for a cup of tea.

Well I see that I missed Tamara this morning.
I actually got to sleep in a bit, which was nice.
In 20-30 minutes here I must go and jump in the tub & get cleaned up for my day. I am going to get a hair cut & then run a few errands.

Is anybody home ???
