Good morning ladies.

Merme--if someone can get you a wireless router & set up your computer, Maxi will be able to be on line when you are. Well, after his computer is up and running again.
My SIL fixed me up, so "the girls" (& him I am sure) could use their computers when they are here.

Tamara: A reunion sounds good. It will be fun to see all of your old school mates. and it is so close--that is esp. nice.

Good morning, Carol Jean!

Yes, Maxi uses his laptop at home because he is able to swipe WIFI from somewhere in our complex. I had planned to get him a wireless router but when he brought the laptop home from school it was unnecessary.

They are allowed to bring it home over long weekends but not during breaks because that is when the computer teachers do the upgrades and also check on-line history to make sure the kids are following the on-line rules.

What is on your agenda today, Carol?

I am hanging out.

well today I am going to my oldest DD's house for a candle party. Her friend's sister is starting up a business & she needs to hold parties.
Val says it will be a good excuse for all of us to get together. And boy does that work for me.

That should be fun, Carol Jean!

I haven't been to those house parties in years but I often look through the books if a friend is having one. There are some nice companies out there.

Well, it is Maxi's turn on the PC so I'll see you all later!

looks like when I can finally get to a computer no one is around.
it is very cold and the ground is like soup here today. what is the point in looking forward to the weekend when you can't go outside and play.
I think I will defrost the deep freeze today. as long as I have help watching the dogs (so they don't get into the frozen food that I'll put out on the porch) I think this will be a good day for it.
have a great weekend everyone. wavy

lol I heard all that echoing in my kitchen and, as soon as Maxi's time on the PC was up, I booted him off! lol

Gee, I missed Cricket, too...

I was going to make roasted chicken for dinner tonight but then I decided to make Chicken Cacciatore instead. I haven't made that in a long time, so Maxi dug out the crock pot for me and in went everything yummy under the sun. My mashed potatoes will go good with it!

Maxi invited a friend over which is good because he seems restless today.

Good morning. Have eaten breakfast which is unusual for me. Now it is time to start bringing in wood. I may be procrastinating.

I'm thinking of sending him to his dad's for a couple of days. When he is there, the boys go over to Boys & Girls Club and have a great time all day long. That might be better than being restless at home...

What are you cooking today, Di? And has your snow started melting yet?

I get in cooking ruts also, Di.

That's why I like to visit my butcher sometimes... he comes up with lively ideas for me. And the fishmonger also when I can get to the pier.

Mardi Gras will be here before we know it, so I've been planning our menu.

Pretty soon you'll have me stepping through the process of baking bread again, Di!!

My nurse was just here to do my leg. She is quite a talker, so it always takes a while. A very nice woman.

I'm making a cup of Red rose Tea to go w/ my swiss cheese & crackers. I don't feel like making a real lunch, so this'll do.

I typically have very good nurses, Di, who love to gab. Some of them have even scheduled to see me at the end of their day so they could spend more time. Oh, every now and again I do get a nurse who is in a mad rush but that's the exception.
