It has been unseasonably cold here for months. This time last year my daffodils and crocuses were starting to bloom. This year they are just barely halfway up. I usually have peonies coming up as well, and many perennials starting to wake up...but not much of anything going on yet. I suppose that's not really a bad thing. I usually also get late freezes that kill or damage plants, so maybe if it stays cold for a while longer my plants will be slower to come up and the risk of damage will be less. (I'm realling trying!) I have so much to do in the garden as far as clean up and prep work, but it's too dang cold! Yeah, I know I won't get much sympathy from those of you in the north who deal with the cold all the time. :-(
