Howdy from central texas,
Just been spending the last few weeks getting my raised beds ready for planting.
Started 12 different plants for my garden indoors in january and should be moving them out in the next few days.
got two yards of organic soil and compost (1 yard each mixed together)
piled in four 6x6 foot raised beds, one has been converted into a
greenhouse of sorts. The plans for constructing the
greenhouse called for using fence posts and fence 1x4s so the whole thing is green friendly
The cover is removable to allow the sun to come in.
We love it. I'll try to post some pics once I put the plants in
we have alot of
spring rains and hail so when the storms come ,the cover will go back on to protect the young plants.
Looking forward to a great year and learning some new tips and tricks from this forum.
ON my way now to the naturalgardener organic gardening store to pick up another yard of mix.
May also try to learn how to make my own probiotic mix.
The store is in south austin, I live way up north so it takes awhile but the dirt/compost is the best organic in town and my garden loves it.
Peace,
Robert
