I'm new so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Jackie, y'all can call me Jackie or by my username... what ever you prefer
I'm 19 years old and a college student. Besides plants my interests include Betta fish (which I hope to breed in the future), dogs and dog training, horses, reading, and movies
I really love gardening and keeping plants although I admit I'm not very good at it. I have a small garden back home with 3
rose bushes in it that do ok but I'm sure need better care, also in the garden I have orange
lillies. I'm not sure what kind they are. They were bulbs I planted that do very well each year. They grow very tall and have gorgeous
flowers. I planted other bulbs in the garden but none of them took.
At school (where I live most of the year) I have two houseplants... which lead me to this forum. I keep killing my house plants. I've killed 3 prayer plants, an orchid, and a small plant whose leaves looked sort of like palm fronds (I'm sorry.. I don't actually remember the actual names of the plants.
My current plants are a sliver philodendron and a plant with striped leaves that looks sort of like a prayer plant. I'll have to go look at their tags to get you the proper names.
I would really like these plants to thrive so I've come here looking for advice on how to best care for them.
I hope I can learn a lot from this forum and the users so that I can keep happy healthy plants.
