Look what was found in the back yard of a person just 15 minutes from here...

A Canadian Lynx...a very rare animal to see now days.





I know he doesn't look like much from the pics but they estimate him at over 30 pounds, his paw prints were the size of a mans hand... and he was over 3 feet long. It scared the homeowner because the Lynx was bigger than their Black Lab. Apparently our warm winter means their are not as much rabbits running wild so that means the Kitty will be searching for food.

That is beautiful, Tamara. That looks a lot like our bobcats and the weight is about the same. Except ours aren't using winter coats as fuzzy. He is gorgeous.

Ya it's almost the same as a bob cat only bigger, a bob cat has rings on it's tail, a lynx has a black tip. Mind you they found Bob cats and Lynx's have mated in the southern part of the province...the outcome, all the offspring were sterile.

I can't get over the size of his paws...almost as big as his head.

I had to go look them up. Both your lynx and out bobcat. Beautiful animals.
