Hmmm could be either huh? I will let him get a bit bigger & see what happens. I hope he isnt a non native invasive whatever he turns out to be or else, into the mulch!

Wrennie, whatever it is it's sure pretty! I love the contrast of color between the deep red-brown stems and bright green leaves!!! I know nothing about it but I think it looks more like the leaves in the first link than the second one.
