Hey guys,

My lawn is basically this - \_
\

So the grass washes down against the house on the flat part, but very few of it will get past the house to the other hill. The result are many soggy areas when it rains, and if it rains bad, for days after. The result is also mud. Lots of muddy, mossy, non-grassy areas that look bad.

What should I do? I really doubt I can arrange the ground to drain better, and I have no way to put in drainage systems (unless there is some easy, magical way to do it.)

So I was thinking I could plant some kind of grass that will suck the water up. Does this grass exist? Any other suggestions?

Thanks a lot guys. I like it here.

Welcome, TheHye.
I live on a hillside also and understand a little of your problem. My first concern is the water standing near your house and possible damage. Do think about improving drainage for that.
I don't think there is a really mow-able lawn grass that will live well in such wet conditions and make a lawn for you. You could consider putting in a bog garden with water loving plants.
