Good Morning.
We have about a ft of snow out on our deck right now- it is my second surgery day and I am really glad we have 4 wheel drive.. its about a 40 min drive to where I need to go and it is a mess out there but at least it's a snow day so there will be less drivers out there.. we don't have to be there till 10:30 this morning .. little earlier than last one- so at least I won't have starve as long this time.. Carrie worked all night last night- Joe took her to work and is picking her up and taking her home now.. her car is okay most of the time but not in this mess... at least we won't have to try and get kids to schools... they closed most of them last night.
There are a lot of people here without power today too- some since last night... this is very wet snow and it fell quick to trees went down- they say it will be a while before they get them back on line-- the airport has 5000 people stranded too.. no flights going out or in,.. sure glad kids got out and back before this hit-- Jon is supposed to go to work today but have a feeling his boss my close his office too... hope so ...
Well off to start getting ready.. have a good day all will be back when I can see again in a couple days.. will sleep today and probably tomorrow too...

Holy the roads are bad...there's vehicles stuck everywhere, and not because they are going to or coming from work but because they are just going for a drive. You think people would stay home on days like this.

It's getting milder out but the snow is still falling...the trees look so pretty.

well sorta:

I bought 2 blue/purple hyacinths--$1.00 each.

Then I bought spinach starts--have you ever heard of such a thing??? but hey I did it !!!

Then I bought 5 bags ot topsoil so I can re-pot6 my 3 large flowerr pots this y ear.

I am taking the old soil and putting it by my garden where I plan on planting my blackberry plants. It is WAY low back there by my raised veggie bed, & the soil is needed.

Great.

Most of our veggie plants are bought as starts here.

Is bagged top soil cheap there also?...it's the cheapest thing you can buy here...only $1 for a 20L bag.

yes that is why I bought it at Wal-mart.

Garden soil (Miracle grow) was like $4.48 for 30-40 pound bags

and the top soil was $1.28 for a 40 # bag--
but at ALCO (smaller version of Wal-mart) it was $2.12 for 40#
so prices do vary

I'm going back tomorrow to have my eyes checked so if I need more I can get it then

Old dirt out by my raiweed beds so I can plant the berries as I have saud,
Blue Hyacinths planted.

Spinach planted in one of the pots---.

now if I would have only rememebred to buy the Round-up, killing my weeds could be done also Grrrrrrrrrrr. so now since it is gonna rain at some point tomorrow I must wait---Friday perhaps????

well everyone--I am going now.

Rod has the board part of Valarie's gift ready for me to stain & varnish.

But first I need to put wood putty in an area.--so I will do that tonight so it can dry well the next couple of days.
(supposed to rain tomorrow so no staining/painting for me then I guess).

everyone have a nice evening...Good night... wavy

Good night, Carol. I keep retiring a little earlier and earlier each night it seems. But I'm tired earlier and earlier. I'll be in trouble when the sun is still out until 9 pm though.
Good night all.

Hi all
I am back and thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers... they worked cause my eyes work pretty well one day post op... still taking it easy and all... but doc says all is healing well.. one corneal is taking a little longer than normal - leave it to me to have a wierd shaped cornea but it will be fine in a few weeks and I see just fine with readers right now- YaY..
Merme I see where you need another procedure done- take care now- will be keeping you in my prayers...
Well off to get ready to do some banking stuff ... have a good day all... we have another storm coming in tomorrow- another foot of snow they say... we got 15 inches from the last one... it is melting quickly though sun is out today and it is so nice not to have to wear sunglasses in the house just to have my curtains open... I miss the sunlight..

Glad you're feeling good and that things went well. I have odd shaped corneas as well....football eyes, the optometrist said why

You must use up some of the storm and then send the rest to us, another one is heading for us in 48 hours lol

Take it easy and rest up.

....well yes I went to Wal-mart to get new glasses--I figured it would be cheaper & Rod was very happy with the DR there. Well, yes I got a good exam BUT just the lenses were going to be almost $400.00 and oh did I mention the $10.00 service fee for if you do NOT get new frames??? rolz

Carol will be wearing her old glasses thank you so very much----

yep and I went there because the eye Dr I wanted to go to would charge me that nad possibly more. I figured well this is Wal-mart they should be cheaper & right now I didnt want to slend any more $$$ then I had to ya know???

So I will chalk this up to finding out I did NOT have glaucoma or any other dread eye disease, & then later go to the eye Dr that will also cost me, but that I know is good.

If I am going to pay a bundle it will NOT be to Wal-mart, ya know???

I do think there are places that one could get single vision glasses & frames for say a bit over $100.--and that would include the eye exam. But I cannot drive to these places.
