I need help identifying ground cover...

I think this is a type of bamboo, but if someone can please help my wife and I identify that would be great. Thanks for your help! We have it as a ground over in one area of our backyard and would like to expand to fill the entire flower bed. It is about 5 inches tall and I usually trim it down during the spring time.
