I just finish cleaning out a old shed for the park today. The manager said take what ever you want and dumpster the rest, they just needed to move it . So while doing what they wished I kept an eye open for anything usefull and maybe something usefull but just didn't know what for yet Found a few things..nothing to brag about .."but" did get these ... 52 oak spindles hmmm what can I do with these?..."wheels turning". There not in the greatest shape since they where tucked up in the rafters, and with all the heat some are warp. Some have some nasty mars on them too so there be a slect few that would make it for what they were intended for. Oak will weather good so I know I can create something out of them ..hmmmm what can I make? rick

17 spindles, a chunk of laminated beam and some deck railing leftovers. .. ...and this was created... Worked out perfect , we need a bench by the door for putting shoes on . We had a shoe box here at one time but now there's not so many shoes laying around now the kids are older. Matches the other things i've done too ! .... made the shelf above it and these a few years ago for the snow buddies . ..now for the rest of those spindles hmmm... rick

Great work..I love carpentry also. Left over lumber or even the 'good lumber' isn't safe from my saw here

Thanks everyone, worked on the truck today so no woodworking . Wood work has always been a hobby of mine , love to see something for the work when done. To make it custom is a perk, and wood is one of them that you can show it in and still has the same function. Have a BBQ that fell into the recycle catagory today...we bought a new one . hmmm spindles and bbq legs /side trays hmmm Built some pretty cool stuff over the years , from bunk beds to pool tables all out of wood . Wish I had pictures of all the stuff from over the years . Being a carpenter for 10yrs , it just seemed unimportant at the time. Rick
