I'm new..to this forum..to gardening.. to etc. :) So after you've enjoyed a good laugh at the question I'll pose please respond with your best suggestions. I forgot to plant my crocus bulbs last fall. So they sat in a bucket in my garage all winter. I recently built some self-watering flower pots (got the idea from a local merchant) and am very excited to fill them to capacity. I remembered hearing that some bulbs can be "tricked" into flowering at a time not generally considered their season by chilling them, and thought of these bulbs to at least add a bit of greenery if they dont flower completely. I read in an article here that crocuses are accepting of such deceptive practices and will grow nicely.
So my question is this: having sat in a cold garage for several months if I now plant the crocus bulbs will they grow? Should I still chill them in the fridge for a few weeks? or am I kidding myself completely?

Plant them and keep your fingers crossed...if they got chilled in the garage then they should still grow.

Thanks Tamara, I really hope they do. I'll post some pictures if it goes well. Also good to know I'll not be laughed at :) I'd be happy to share the how-to's of building the self-watering pots if anyone is interested. Thanks again.
