We are at 40 degrees this morning and it feels pretty nice! thumbup

I got an inexpensive haircut from a new stylist. She pretty much hacked it, but even so, it still feels better short the way I like it! Once it grows out a bit, I'll go to a salon and have it evened out better or I'll get one of the visiting stylists to come here and fix it.

I am so ready for fresh coffee, I am going to dig out my French Press and do it up right!

Yesterday was a Coffee Drinking Disaster Day. I really thought there was some bad alignment in the cosmos to make it all go so awry! lol

First, at 6 AM I made a pot that was far too strong because I was using an unfamiliar brand. So, I added boiling water. It turned bitter. Second, I stopped at a different Dunkin Donuts than the one I usually use to buy a decent cup. It was burned. YUCK! When was the last time they cleaned the pot I wanted to know?! Third, I put all my hopes in the coffee that would be served at the reception we attended last night. MISTAKE! They only served Hazelnut! gag. Finally, at 10 PM on the way home we stopped at a different Dunkin Donuts and I FINALLY got a drinkable cup of coffee!

Here's hoping today goes better! haha

My coffee is delish this morning, I am pleased to say!

Student haircuts, what fun. "nibs, hacks and jabs" what a good way to put it. I like the jabs the best. lol

I am so glad the weekend is almost here, I am beside myself.

Sitting down for 5 while I grab a sandwich.

Seems I missed you again, Tamara.

I know its late--but I also am sitting down eating some left overs for lunch.

I stopped by by MIL's to drop off some bananas & was going to pick up some flower pots that she bought me for my upcoming birthday---but I forgot them. egad

I guess I will go and see what else I have to finish up here, so as to be ready for the upcoming company, before I head into the shower.--

hiopefully I will be coming back around later wavy

I just got back from some errands and sat down to a delicious lunch from McD's. Ted loves their burgers so I find myself there more often than I would if I lived on my own. I don't have to go anywhere this weekend unless I feel like traveling for fun.

wavy Today has been a productive day. Aros and I went out for breakfast and then I started on laundry as soon as we got home. Then I realized that if I hurried I could get my allergy shots early so I got that done and picked up a prescription while I was there. I broke out in a rash from my biopsy so I picked up some hydrocortisone as well. When I got back I switched out the laundry loads and Aros went to go pick up his cousin, who is flying in by sea-plane. How cool is that? I'm very jealous. Anyway, I started a quick last minute pick up and it's such a nice day out that I opened up all the windows and sprayed some febreeze all over the house. Trying to get rid of that stuffy smell while I have the chance. It was too cold to do this just two days ago so I'll take when I can get it. I also watered all my houseplants with some plant food and as soon as the dryer is done I'm going to get lost in the trails at the nature park for a few hours. I haven't done any trail running yet and I thought it would be a nice change to run in nature and get away from cars and city sounds for a little while. Aros is going to take his cousin for some local site seeing. Probably will take him to the locks. The salmon are starting to come in and the herons are nesting near there so they hang out there a lot. A great blue heron is quite a sight for someone from wisconsin. Hope everyone has a good weekend planned.

Well, I'm back from my run. I walked in the door all sweaty and stinky and Aros and his cousin are sitting at the kitchen table. I quickly shook hands and ran off to get into the shower. Now that I'm clean and smell good I'm being ignored by the boys, lol. I went and did the loop at the nature trail but I was feeling pretty good so I did an extended trail for almost another mile. At that point the hills were getting to my muscles and I headed back for my car. I loved being out where it felt like I was out of the city though. A few other people but other than that all I saw was birds, critters, trees and other plants. I even took off my headphones to just listen to the chirping of the birds and rustling of the trees. Plus, it's sunny and in the 60's today so it was perfect.

I got the biopsy results today, for those who were interested. One lump is benign (yay!) but the other one they couldn't tell so I have to repeat the biopsy in two months. Of course, it was the one that was the hardest to get to and caused all the soreness. Oh well, next time I'll know to take the whole day off of work. I'm just sitting here relaxing and waiting to see what's for dinner.

Cheryl I'm glad for the good news you've gotten so far!

My computer was down for most of the day. It just came back all on it's own.

Thank God for Friday Night!!!

Glad your computer came back, Merme! Sheri, I have one more that was biopsied a couple years ago and is also benign so two out of three are definitely fine, I'm just going to assume that will be the case with the third as well. They said there weren't enough cells for them to tell one way or the other so hopefully in two months there will be, I really don't want to have my thyroid removed just because they couldn't get a definitive answer. The guys are going to go get italian food, that doesn't work well for me so I'm going to get something for myself and possibly pick up a six pack as well. I want to chill tonight.

wavy Hi everybody!

My computer shut down again last night. Turned itself off and on about six times right in a row and then wouldn't come out of standby. It finally turned on just a few minutes ago after being down for about 14 hours. Crazy!

It is cold and raining here today.

Hi Merme! Thanks Diane, two out of three being benign makes me believe that other one is benign as well. So, I don't feel too worried. The problem I have now is a really itchy rash that won't go away. I'm thinking I had an allergic reaction to the lidocaine. The itch is maddening and I'm thinking about going to the doctor but I'm really not sure what they can do that I haven't already tried.

Aros is sleeping on the couch right now. He took his cousin to the airport really early this morning so it doesn't surprise me that he's napping now. I didn't finish my laundry yesterday but that's okay, laundry is easy and comes with long breaks. I'm a bit sore from my run yesterday but only one leg for some reason. Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. We have another sunny and 60's day today.

Prayers Cheryl..do you have Benedryl for allergies? Try some for the rash.

Well, I've been in and out all day. Lots to do outside..too cold to do it.

I've taken benadryl, tried benadryl cream and hydrocortisone cream. It's not helping and the rash is spreading. I'm at the clinic right now. They're gonna give me a presription antihistamine. If that doesn't work then the next step is steroids. Ugh. Hope the first pill works.

Well, I finally made it back home and had some dinner. The pill they gave me at the docs didn't do anything so he sent me home with some steroids. I hope they start working soon because this itching is going end up having me committed. It's been really quiet in here today, I suppose that means everyone is having a busy Saturday. Hopefully busy with good things.

Morning all, chilly with rain here...rained all night.

Not a bad thing though because Friday they were calling for snow for today~I'll take the rain grin .

Planning to leave in a few hours to spend the day with my Grandmother...and mother.

Hope everyone has a great day today.

Have a great day with your grandmother and mother, Tamara! I have to work so my mother will get a phone call and my grandmother lives in another state so she'll also be getting a phone call. I hope that maybe by Friday they'll change their minds and call for more rain instead of snow. That happens here. It's pointless to look more than a day or two ahead because our weather can change very quickly.

Change of plans...going to visit my grandmother without my mother.

I need to bant..

I told my mom that I was going to see grandma yesterday and was stopping to get her flowers first(my grandmom shares my love of flowers greatly)..my mother said to wait and I could go with her today and then threw a fit that flowers were a waste of money(as usual) but she'd stop anyway but she'd rather not rolz ...

Well she just called to say that apparently my aunt is driving and we were going with her so I couldn't stop to get my grandmother anything madd and it's just too bad because I should have got her something else that made more sense.

Ya well fine..DH re-arranged his plans so I could have the truck and go up by myself..and I have a notion to take the cake and lobsters I bought for my mother and keep them for myself as well notme Happy mothers day that idea 'Cruella de Vil'.

Rant away Tamara, we're here to listen. Like Tina said, hope your grandmother enjoys her flowers, I think it's the perfect gift for a fellow flower lover on Mother's Day.

I'm at work, not working obviously. I'll have to get to work sooner or later, there's a pallet of boxes waiting for me to deal with. I also need to fit lunch in there and then play receptionist for an hour. I think the prednisone is starting to kick in. I feel weird, lol
