We have two old wagons..one needs a whole new wooden floor and sides. Which means we'll be cutting cedar soon to drop off at the saw mill next door...sometimes I honestly wonder why DH farms. I wish I had a full time job...just so I could work less lol

O.k. the wagon is all painted, I'm all showered up and yup red oil paint washes out to leave pink streaks in one's hair lol OMG, I'm as messy a painter as I am a baker.

Had some more things to do but decided they can wait another day...my insides are achy.

DD called~ she chipped out half her front tooth again(the filling just won't stay it seems..fourth time)..also found out because she is 19 and not working she is still covered on our insurance..I'll take her next week, the dentists office is so busy and backed up.

Well, it's 2:30 here and all the inside work is done..and I only have to throw some pork chops in the oven in a bit..so here I sit.

Chatting with DD on facebook also..she's tormenting for some maternity clothes..nope. I'll buy her a couple of swing tops and some stretchy leggings from the clearance shop when we go pick her up..it's a place that sells new but overstocked clothes from other stores..Not spending good money on clothes that will get discarded in under three months.

12;38 here--and it is so nice to hear that all of your work is done for now.
Rod is so tired of leftovers that I am making him hamburgers tonight. (he LOVES them) supper will be easy & he will be happy.

I hear that about the clothes. and new clothes are new clothes after all, so she should not mind.

I still have some basic outfits put aside from when I had my girls. not that either would wear them. rolz

it has stopped raining now--& the sun is kinda out--weather is 64*F

you have a good point.
back in the day (during my first born) I bought a pair of maternity pants that had a stretch band in them so as to expand as the mother did. THEN one could wear them after as normal slacks. (but I kept mine as maternity because I figured a second one would come--

so really Julie will not need a lot of maternity clothes right??/
most of what she has should still fit???

I'm gonna check the second hand store down there as well. Most clothes are like new, maternity clothes only get worn a few months.

That is very true--and some people even spend a lot of money on them so she could probably find a nice outfit for the shower there---
would not hurt to check anyway.

hello, carol jean and tamara. wavy just dropped in to say hi.
second hand stores are wonderful for stuff like that. I went just last weekend to get myself some shorts. I gained some weight when I was on crutches and none of my shorts fit anymore. I couldn't see spending a lot on new shorts that I'd only wear until I took this extra weight back off. I got 4 pair of blue jean shorts (some jeans that I whacked off) for 7 bucks.
well have a great day everyone.
gotta get going.

they sure do.--Rid just today asked me to remove all of the items that we dont need from power outlets---well, I told him our power/electricity this month was $98.oo so he should be happy with that.
he still took out the phone from the bedroom. :tears

I think I will buy myself an old fashioned type phone for in there---they are really inexpensive after all...

Hi there everybody! Can't believe I missed Cricket! boohoo

Gee, Carol, I wouldn't give up my bedroom phone for anything because of potential emergencies. The risk doesn't seem to outweigh the couple of pennies a month no phone would save, to my way of thinking.

My attendant's last day is Friday. She has only been with me a month and isn't good at this work. She decided on her own to change careers and so will be working as a receptionist at a gym. I think she will like the socializing that job will offer.

I was unhappy today to discover that I've got a huge, monster sized package of chicken in the freezer! I never would have put such a gigantic pack in there like that.... I always divide them up for me 'n Maxi. So I'm thinking I might defrost it, marinade it in BBQ and cook it up for Maxi's Confirmation party. It would be tasty on the grill and there is certainly enough for a small crowd.

Speaking of thrift stores, Goodwill just opened a very big store just north of me about 10 miles. It is supposed to be the largest Goodwill in New England. I haven't been in there yet, but I've been told it is great.

wavy Hi everyone! I've gotten ahead of myself here at work today and my co-worker is gone so I can use the computer and kill some time. I keep snacking and wanting more snacks! A few more days and I'll be done with these meds, phew. Then I'll probably want to sleep for a week, lol. The rest of the week and weekend is supposed to be pretty nice so I'm going to try to get some more weeding done this weekend. Last time I did it I only got the front half done so the walkway area is looking pretty crowded.

Yes, They only run on a tiny bit of electricity that comes through the phone line. And as long as the lines still work they work well even if the power is out. After a major fire swept through, my power was out for nearly 3 weeks and the cell towers were tough to use. I had the only working phone for all of my neighbors. I just had my phone lines redone in my house and made sure that one was still hooked up. It was very important to me. (it is a 35+ year old rotary dial phone)

well my big plan is to buy an inexpensive plug into the wall type of phone for the bed room Merme--I agree with you.

and both the Goodwill's & the Salvation army's around here, do not have the dressing rooms now---so sadly, for me, now basically it is a place to look for jackets & coats.

BTW: The Chicken idea sounds like a plan for Maxi's confirmation. I wish you luck with the plans.

When is the party again???
\
\Tina--I too have a wall phone that old. but it has a 25 ft cord so there will be no putting it in my beedroom. Years ago my oldest DD learned the hard way they needed a phone of that type. even with cell phones one needs to charge them, even wth car chargers it is difficult-
