Evening everyone! I had a pretty good day today despite the morning starting off crappy. I had to work on the unit today which meant getting to work by 7am. boohoo There was something else work related that happened this morning before I even got there that had nothing to do with me and resulted in a nurse giving out my home phone number. madd I tried not to let it get me down too much before I even got there and just decided to let my supervisor know about it tomorrow. Well, the weekend supervisor had come upstairs and I knew she was a can do person so I told her about it and she took care of it. I even received an apology from the person who made the phone call at 6:15am. Work was surprisingly easy and this morning I had packed my running gear just in case I felt up to running after work. Not only did I feel up to running but I felt up to running for a while. A long while. I ran for an hour! When I got back to my car, which was conveniently parked between the trail and grocery store, I went into the grocery store to buy some halibut. On Friday the seafood guy told me to come in on Sunday because they were running a special promotion on halibut. $4.99 a pound. That's practically free! So, I got myself a little over three pounds of it and now I just need to cut the filets and freeze them. Yummy, I love halibut. I came home with the "runner's high" and cooked dinner. Aros was fully expecting to have a grumpy wife come home from a grumpy day at work but I was in a great mood and nothing could bring me down. Now, I'm getting quite sore, so I sat in a hot tub for a while and now I'm stretching while I type. bow I'm multi-talented. lol

I hope the hot water helps you.

Cheryl I'm glad you had such a successful day. And very, very glad you were able to resolve that issue at work. Good going, girl! Halibut filets... yum... I'll just pass my plate a little to the left! lol

I had a frustrating day.

My pal Angel stopped by just before 9 PM w/ a pound of coffee & a pack of smokes. I was MUCH happier after that! I had expected my Sunday Girl to be here at 8 AM to run to the store to buy those items. It was a lonnnng wait til 9 PM!!!!

Maxi never did have a chance to do what was in his mind for the day.

Now I'm going to finish loading the dishwasher & run it before I head to bed.

Merme

Tina, over sleeping is good when one is working so hard.

I'll be in and out all day, doing little chores and taking lots of breaks.

Just stopping in to say I may or may not be around a lot the next couple of weeks. Huh?? Well... check this out--

Today my in-laws, including brother & sister in-law, arrive. They will be here until Thursday morning. Thursday afternoon friends with three boys (one still crawling) arrive. They will be here until Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon (or maybe Monday) my mom & brother arrive. They will be here until Thursday. And then... I think we are expecting company in early June. Fortunately, the shelf in the store room that contains an assortment of adult beverages is well stocked, just in case I loose my mind in the coming days. So like I said, I may or may not be around. It's good to know I have a "home away from home" if things get too wild.

Anyhoo... you should see the place! I cleaned house!!

Oh my Marica ~you're gonna be busy.

Just got in from mowing dandelions, how can they grow so tall and not the grass? I just don't understand it. Oh and I have learned another cherry tree is dead. I went from 5 down to one now, that bites.

Yep, Marica, Tina has a good point,

Put 'em to work--it'll let them know what you do there, beside sit, look around and smile. Because I know that is what I would be doing.

Oh... they said they *want* to work!!

In all fairness, the families do work when they come to visit. But here's the thing, it's like those people with cleaning ladies who clean their houses before the cleaning lady comes! I have to remember to clean the microwave so that I won't be embarrassed!

Mostly we will be working outside (not sure how the Texans and Arizonans will do with Miss'ippi humidity, though). I still have so much planting to do, and they will be a big help with that.

Oops... here goes John calling me again! Gotta run and see what he can't find!
